Val started a new drawing that showed Knuckle with a smirk and a thumbs up.

Sonic noted this and frowned. "What are you trying to tell me?" He asked, ears flattened against his skull.

Holt sighed and massaged his brow. "What did I literally just finish saying....?"

Val looked away, "My mom never told me about you guys and only showed the pictures, once I asked her who Knuckles was, since she had put his name down, she had gotten really quiet and I had never asked about him again." she said softly.

"Did Shadow already tell you what happened....?" Sonic asked in monotone.

Val nodded, "I think she had heard of what had happened and had gotten really sad." she said wiping away the picture.

Sonic nodded. "I guess I was sad as well. Stupid echidna was too loyal..." He shook his head and... Smiled. "...Not that I'd have it another way,"

Holter stared at him. Chaos. He thought. He smiled anyway.

Val gave a small smile, "Even though he's gone, it would be really cool to meet him, even if I just meet his ghost." she said.

Sonic gave the sky a knowing glance.

...Okay. You can tell them. I'm ready. Ghost told Sonic.

Sonic's ears went erect. Are you sure?

Sonic sighed. "...Wanna know a secret?" He asked Val, Holt, and Scarlet.
