pain inside me sparked up "I am going to kill her if it is the last thing I do" I didn't shift but I ruffled my feathers and flew back to the window sitting on the sill "tell Taylor I am going after Jax and stay with her!" I hissed through the link shifting into my huge falcon and flew off looking from above for Jax or looking for blue glowing eyes.

He was on his phone and he glanced up when you sat down. He smiled then went back to his phone.

"Be safe!" Jenna shouted at you as you flew back towards the forest to search for Jax.

I flew for hours looking down I finally landed on a branch resting my sore wings, I shifted and sat on the branch
"Oh Jax where are you" tears streamed your face "I swear the only thing stopping me from killing myself was him" I looked down the tree but back up again.

When you looked up you saw a blue glint. Eyes... Not looking at you they were looking at something past you. Something they were so focused on that they didn't even notice you were there.

The blue eyes were glinting down looking at something on the ground they were slowly shifting to the left like they were watching something moving very slowly.

That's when you heard a small pained grunt beneath you.

"Calm down, Nyreke." ( She has names for all of her hyenas) She scratched the hyena behind the ears and gave it some meat. She then sat down and began feeding all the hyenas, except for a pregnant females she had which had never came. She locked the door to the boy's room, as the hyenas could open doors, and walked to her nursery where sheared the small, high pitched laughter of newborn hyenas. She ran to the room.

I jumped 4 feet in the air at the grunt I looked at the eyes.

The heyenas where all crowded around their mom crawling around.

The eyes narrowed. Then a hand flew out it was holding a dagger. Before you could do anything the hand threw the dagger and hit whatever it was below.

Something cried out in pain and you heard a thump as it fell. Then you realized that was Jax's voice.

She crouched next to the hyenas and looked at them for a little while. She knew that she needed a few days before she could approach them. She set a piece of meat next to the hyena's bad and walked over to the boy's room, opening it a crack to see if he was sleeping.
