She calmed down, rubbing her wrists to her eyes again.

She smiled a little. Well, tried to, anyway.

D wouldn't be coming back unless she woke up, and that collar might not help her situation.

But there was a rustle in a bush near by, then in another one not far from it. Then one behind Kate. From the one behind Kate popped out a little slender head with two curled horns. It was pink with red bumpy scales along its spine and big blue eyes with a yellow tongue hanging out her mouth. She saw Kate, and hid again.

Kate jumped out of her skin at the sounds

From a bush to her side came another pink head with light pink bumpy scales on the back and red eyes. It hid again in the bush like 'wack a mole' things.

Saph cooed, pointing to where the head had just been.

She jumped again, wondering if it was another creature out to get them.

The one from behind stretched their neck forward and licked Kate before hiding again. Giggles could be heard from the bushes.

She stood, whipping towards the bush thing that had licked her

Another head popped out of a tree next to her, bending and licking her cheek before going back into the tree.

Saph giggled.

Kate jumped again.
