There was a faint shiver from in the egg, the shell looked like it had fractures. It was just designed like stain glass, purple and light blue. The faint figure of a curled up baby dragon was in it.

The tiny baby kicked the shell a little, head moving and hind legs thrusting a bit.

He set the little egg down and crouched behind it

The three dragons looked confused, looking to one another as if they didn't realize baby reptiles came from eggs.

The baby kicked again, then its head pressed up against the egg as it scratched the shell.

Ash didn't help, mostly because he knew if he did it probably wouldn't end well for the baby.

Slowly, it pushed its front talons through the shell, then wiggled out its snout. It paused, taking in deep breaths of air for the first time. Its snout was purple, and a tiny yellow tongue hung out as it panted. Then its silver claws began working at the opening.
