"Promise me you won't strain if I remove them," he murmured

He nodded. "I promise,and dragons stick to their word." he said softly back,running a hand gently up through Ash's hair in a loving way.

He nodded and gently removed the bindings, hesitantly, because, at the moment, everything about Jason screamed breakable.

He closed his eyes again,his neck was still a bit glassy where cracks clawed up a bit. It had literally torn him apart when he thought he had lost Ash. They shifted a bit every time he swallowed,rippling slightly with the softest sound of glass clinking together.

Ash's lips traced the cracks, feeling horrible that it was his fault that this had happened to Jason

"Mmmm." Jason swallowed again,his heart racing. He made sure to keep his body calm,keeping to his word and not straining. He tenderly gripped Ash's hair a bit with bound hands. The careful fabric had been wrapped around his palms a few times then down and around his wrist and along his arms.

Ash paused for a second to murmur, "I'm sorry..."

"It's not your fault." He responded softly,gently stroking Ash's hair.

"Yes, it is. I pulled you into this, and then...we got feelings for each other and then you just about died and...now you're back, probably going to be in pain tomorrow..."

Jason pulled back a bit and looked into Ash's eyes,his own purple and hazel ones serious. "Don't talk like that. You didn't know dragons fall to heart brake differently. I should have taught you about how strong dragons feel emotions...and if I'm in pain,so be it." He said,forcing his voice past inner cracks that still had to heal. But he made sure not to strain,just as he promised for Ash.
