"Hello." He had opened the book he grabbed and started skimming through it. He was never into activities like these, unlike his brother. So he couldn't really get into the book. "How are you doing?" He was curious on how his brother was holding up from the bad news. Constantine was his younger brother after all. It was only natural that he cared.

Constantine sighed quietly, his eyes downcast at the question. He was truthfully conflicted, not sure how to reply to Cassian. Putting his finger between the pages he was reading, closing the book softly. Was he sad? Of course he was, despite not being as close to their father as some, it still made his heart ache. The look on his mother's face was one of the main things that hurt him, being kind of a momma's boy than anything.
`` Conflicted, `` he said, staring off into space, `` It hurts to know of how he died, makes me fear our lives...`` He looked down at his hand, narrowing his eyes. `` The look on mom's face was horrible, the sheer pain in her eyes was nerve-wracking. `` he said, turning to look at his brother. `` How about you?`` he asked, not wanting to ramble too long.

He had done the same and closed his book, setting it down next to him. "I wouldn't say I'm sad. I never really cared much for father if I have to be honest. Mother and sister seem to be taking the news horrible though. I guess I'm just worried, worried about everything." A sigh had escaped him as his head rested on the chair. He had positioned a leg on the chair with the foot tucked under his other leg.
