Electa got one of the eerily specific texts and got into her blue, white and black mustang. She spent the next day and a half driving. Finally, in the early hours of morning, she reached the town. Heading for the main drag through town she found a GoodRest motel--there was always a GoodRest; they were as dependable as clockwork--and checked into a room to get a few hours' sleep. The temptation, as always, was to go after the angel immediately, but she knew better. When you were this tired, you were likely to mess up an do something stupid.

(So she's in the town the others are now, I guess)

"Why would I?", Lue smiled, backing away. It was a smile that was very small, and kind. "I'm not in the mood."

Slowly, everything returned to normal. There was silence. Alex brought his energy focus back to his heart chakra. He shoved the rifle under the car for a moment, then walked over to Eddie, who still knelt, trembling, on the sidewalk.
"Hey, man, you okay?" Alex said easily, crouching beside him. The bouncers had stopped talking and looked over in their direction. Alex raised a casual hand to them to let them know everything was all right. Eddie turned a tearstained face to Alex. He swallowed, shaking his head. "I--there was--I know you won't believe me, but--"
"Yeah, I know," said Alex. "Come on, let's get you up." He put an arm around Eddie and helped him to his feet. Jeez, the guy could try dieting a little. "I've got such a headache," Eddie whined. Angel fallout, thought Alex. Eddie had only been a few feet away, and though most of it had blasted straight back at Alex, Eddie would still feel the effects for days. It was better than angel burn, though.

Anything was better than that.

What caught her eye was the boy- one she was sure had been hunting angels -sitting beside an unfamiliar man and speaking to him. Liss watched from a distance, and curious, she walked a bit closer. After willing her wings to disappear, she made her way to the two.

"Everyone okay?" The brunette asked, honestly curious. She was sure she looked harmless enough. Small, with tousled brown hair and big golden colored eyes that hardly seemed like they could hold any look that was even a bit malicious. "I, uh, heard, a scream..."

Alex glanced up. Since he hadn't shifted his chakras and her wings were invisible to him, she just looked like a really, really beautiful girl. "Yeah, everything's fine. This guy's just a little drunk is all."
"It was so beautiful," mumbled Eddie, his head lolling limply. "So beautiful..."
Alex rolled his eyes. "Yeah, real beautiful." Alex started walking back towards the bar with Eddie shuffling along beside him. As usual, he felt the mix of pity and contempt that he always felt for civilians. Though he spent his life trying to save them, they were all so clueless that he didn't get much pleasure from it.

" Because I think you might if you got bored enough.. " Alister said with a serious tone to his voice.
