Alec nodded as he tugged on his coat. He'd thrown his shoes on and looked ready to go. "You should let me lead the way for a bit. You weren't exactly awake enough to see the way here, so you can't make your way back." He took the lead, zipping up his coat and pulling up the hood. For awhile, he was up ahead, not seeming to be bothered by the freezing morning air. A cloud rose above his head from his mouth as he eventually fell in alongside Gale. "We're coming up on the place I found you."

He smiled at the elf allowing him to lead them. As soon as he exited the home the cold engulfed him causing him to shiver some. Snow covered the ground, a light dusting covering his shoes with each step. Without saying anything he followed the elf taking in the sight and sounds of the forest. "Good maybe my hat will still be here."

"And your sword. Don't want to forget that," Alec reminded him. He walked in silence for a bit before pointing to a tree just up ahead of them. "There's where I found you hanging by your ankles." He glanced at Gale. "Why is your hat so important to you?"

"Nothing much, I just like that hat is all. It had a nice feather on it, and cost me nearly an arm and a leg." He said looking about. He found the hat and the sword just where he lost it. Thank goodness! Happily he dusted the snow off and put the hat on his head once the beanie was removed. "Now shall we?"

The elven mage looked up at the other's hat and seemed to like it. "That's a pretty fancy hat. Doesn't seem to go with the clothes you're wearing at the moment," he observed. Then he nodded as they continued their journey through the forest. "Perhaps calling one of your uber cabs is a good idea. It is pretty cold, and it'll be faster." He put his hands up to his mouth to breathe on them. He'd forgotten all about gloves and was regretting that decision.

"Good idea though I could think of a few other ways to stay warm when it's this cold." He smirked as he fished his phone out of his pocket. "Aaannnddd done. They should be at the road in about ten or so minutes." He said putting the phone away again. The elf seemed cold...maybe it was alright to move in a bit closer? Well it wouldn't hurt to try right? Lightly Gale moved a bit closer, putting an arm about the elf's shoulders. "You seem cold..." he said trying to hide the blush on his cheeks.

Alec hadn't expected it to be this cold. It was if the weather was purposefully putting him out of his comfort zone. He could go outside in the night in the dead of winter and be fine. But for some reason, now he was freezing. Maybe it was this coat of his. It wasn't as warm as his cloak at home. He dipped his head and blushed as he felt Gale's arm around his shoulders. He didn't make a move to pull away, but he didn't make a move to be closer either. It was bringing back memories he didn't want to rehash. He sighed lightly as he tried to make his own blush fade.... maybe it would be seen as the cold making his face red. "I'm never usually this cold," he stated as he shoved his hands into his pockets.

"Well the weather man did say that it was supposed to get colder than normal just in time for Christmas." Gale said still holding him close with an arm. It was a bit awkward yeas but still it made him feel better. Maybe the elf wouldn't take it the wrong way...

"I would enjoy a white Christmas," Alec said with a small smile. He found Gale's warmth comforting and made no attempt to put space between them. He sighed softly, eyelids lowering some. "How do you manage to stay so warm, especially with your clothes in tatters?"

"Experience I guess. And layers." Gale chuckled still blushing heavily. "So many layers..." It was true. He had on an under shirt, then his normal shirt, then a sweater, then the jacket. And it was still a bit chilly! "And wool socks." They were itchy but warm. "If you're getting cold I have a few clothes you can borrow if you like."
