Amber looked up as Saeliera entered, woken by her paw steps. Are you here to try to be my mother again? Or to act like the pack actually wants me. I'll listen to any bull you came to tell me, but it won change my mind about you or your disgusting your scum pack. Amber growled. She seemed even more aggressive than before. Then it seemed to make sense. It was about her pride. As a rouge, pride was all she had. Pride kept her moving, kept her in more then survival. In a few hours, she had been openly trash talked and pitied by various pack members. It hurt. It hurt a lot. The savage hateful look in Amber's eyes was only trying to hide her fear, the feeling she had been betrayed. And at moments it failed, showing emotions Amber denied she had.
Over in the camp by the prisoners, Reverse had watched Saeliera's retreating back, but made no attempt to go. Aren't you going to go to your den, like the rest of us? A pack member asked. No. Lets have a night hunt. The Alpha is too busy pitying a monster to stop us. Every hunter, lone or not, is invited. Go. He said. A few pack wolves ran to the dens, quietly waking the hunters. Almost half the pack went to the entrance to join him. Lets go. He said. And the hunters raced into the night, hungry for this change. A few miles out, they lounged around, two dead deer at their paws. They had eaten their fill and were simply laying in the dark. Reverse, you should be hunt leader! A pack hunter said. We never have this much fun! Others barked their agreement. Now now, lets not get ahead of ourselves. Enjoy yourselves, brothers. He said with a smirk. The hunters howled quietly, enjoying the night and reveling in the rebellion.

(Tut, tut, tut, wait till Sae finds out...)
"I am not here to try to preach or lecture you," Saeliera said kindly, "I'm here to thank you for bringing food to the prisoners. I won't try to make you see my side anymore. But, I saw you push your way out of the circle of wolves, only to follow us. Why? If you had run off, we wouldn't have stopped you."

Amber looked at Saeliera, a small, sad smile crossing her face. Because I think this pack needs a bit of discipline. And a good hunter. Besides, if I had run off, you would have found me later. And that dog is my responsibility anyways. And DON'T argue with me about discipline. Your wolves are a little too full of themselves. She said calmly. So don't think I'm going to let those wolves push me around, or the dog. I have the guts to use my claws to back up my words. Did you see the look on Reverse's face when you walked away from a challenge? The faces of the others? There's going to be some change around here. Her voice went a bit gentler as she added: You have what it takes to be respected, but your pack doesn't respect you. You need to show them who's the Alpha. And Reverse's right. I'm not a pup. I'm a year old, and possibly a better fighter then your adult pack wolves. But I appreciate the concern. It was odd how she switched from bad wolf to kind wolf, but it was getting easier to understand the young rouge. I'll try to understand your pack. just try to understand me. She added. With that she lay down to rest, when she heard a howl, a couple miles off. Did you hear that? She said, rising.

"I heard it," Saeliera growled, before speeding out of the den. She sniffed around, and thought, Hey, where did everyone go? She heard the howl again, and pelted toward it.

In the clearing, Reverse was sound asleep in a hollowed out log with soft moss inside of it. Nearby, several hunters lay asleep, with apprentices awake. A few apprentices were playing catch with a large bone, and wrestling among the sleeping hunters. They stopped and padded up to Saeliera with wagging tails. The youngest, a newly made apprentice, said Will you play with us? Amber stood near Saeliera, and flicked her tail to Reverse. Her meaning was clear. This was Reverse's doing.

"Reverse! Get your mangy carcass over here, NOW!" Saeliera shouted, anger at Reverse's rebellion making her tense her muscles, ready to strike.

Reverse opened one eye and got up with a lazy stride. Other hunters woke up from the Alpha's yell. Reverse walked up to the Alpha, smiling slyly. What is it, Alpha? He said innocently. The others got up, some with guilty looks. Others looked to Reverse, confused on why the Alpha was cross. I'm sorry you weren't invited to the night hunt, but as Amber is your top priority, we didn't think you'd mind. He said calmly. He had Saeliera's paws tied. If she lashed out at him, she'd lose the respect of the many in the audience. If she let it go, she'd be considered too lax and this might happen again. Amber wanted desperately to swipe the smug look off of his face, but she only glared, wanting to trust Saeliera to do the right thing.

(I guess diplomacy is needed here)
"When did I give you leave for a night hunt?" Saeliera asked, dangerously quiet, the fact that he spoke of amber almost respectfully, in direct contrast to how he'd spoken earlier. Nor did she miss the sly look he'd had on his face as he stood. She'd seen his lazy walk, and recognized the trap he'd laid for her.

Weve never needed permission to hunt before. Why the sudden change of heart? You never pay attention to us low hunters, so why are you pretending to care now? To show Amber what a strong leader you are? I think I speak for everyone when I say you have taken special time to care for a ROGUE when you could have been leading us. He said with a challenge in his eye and a sweet smile on his face. Hes right! A hunter cried. A few others barked agreement. The rest lay quietly, intrigued by Reverse but still loyal to the Alpha. Reverse put his muzzle to Saelieras ear, whispering, So whatll you choose? Punish me and you lose half of your packs respect. Leave me be and this wont be the last night hunt. He backed a few paces and a bit louder, he said, So whatll it be? Who will you choose? Your pack or Amber? His voice was deadly calm, and friendly. Amber, sitting off to the side, stood next to Sae. She whispered to Sae, Let me handle this.

(Do I really care about diplomacy?)
Siria
She headed towards the howling and growling. Siria looked into the clearing, and saw Alpha being bullied by Reverse. She burst into the clearing growling.
"Hey!" She howled. "Stop that. Alpha doesn't deserve being bullied by you." she said, realizing how horrible her young voice sounded in the field of older wolves. "She's great, and trying to do her job. And you go wrecking havoc, trying to mess up the roles of the pack. If you become Alpha, though I hope you don't, I don't care wheter or not you put me in Omega position. You shouldn't be..." Her voice finally failed her, and Siria watched as the wolves turned towards her.
"What were you saying, pup?" One wolf growled. Siria gulped and wanted the ground to swallow her up, though she knew she was right to make that stand.
She always stuck up for the underdog. And this time, she was surprised to find Alpha loosing.
