Now Shift was really confused. "Why do you want me to have it? All i did was protect Cactus from another dragon, and even you helped me deal with it."

She laughed "dragons like you are so rare to find in the Squrpion den, you're like this bracelet, so rare but its good to have, just in case." She placed it in his talons. It gave off a warm sort of feeling.

Shift gazed at the jade snake spiraling across his talons. He made up his mind. "Can i give you this, then?" He held out a piece of the skyfire rock he found in the desert.

She smiled "sure" she placed the rock in her necklace "huh it kinda looks better that way" she looked back at him "tanks"

He watched as she put the rock in her necklace, and her thoughts reduced into a quiet hum. "It does." Shift smiled, then looked up and the moons. "I better get back. Mom and Dad would be wondering where i went." He spread his wings to take off

She looked at him "bye" she hesitated "thanks for the visit, I don't get many these days" she said softly

Shift lifted up to the sky. "Me neither. Thanks. Bye, Sandstorm." He flew back towards his tent, before casting a look back at Sandstorm

She watched him go with sad and distant eyes. She then sighed and looked at the moons "Arcie, if you're hearing this," she whispered "I miss you" a single tear fell into the sand, and a purple flower sprouted. She noticed the flower and quickly covered it with sand hoping no dragon noticed it before she did.

Shift snuck in back through the tear in the fabric. He looked back to the spot where Sandstorm was and noticed a tiny bit of purple sticking though the sand

She walked inside her den and closed the door behind her, locking it, she walked over to her desk and pulled out a few blank scrolls. She started drawing on them. Pictures of nightwings and Sandwings. Also she drew a portrait of Arcie.
