Ao breathed out a vortex of blue fire and flew through it. After a moment, the fire faded away. The scenery around the had changed. Every mountain was replaced with a glacier. The air temple was replace with a large tower of snow.
"Here we are. The Norther Water Tribe." Asashi breathed, his breath coming out in little white puffs.

"Huh. Thought it would be a lot less.. cold." She said, thankful for the adaptability of her robes

"Meh." Asashi shrugged. He steered Ao into a dive.

"Whao!" She said excited

At the last moment, Asashi made Ao level out, landing smoothly on the ground. A man in a blue parka came running up to them. Asashi left off the dragon.
"Asashi!" the waterbender said, embracing the Avatar. "It's been too long!"
"It's only been a year, Izo. By the way, this is Aloh of the Earth Kingdom. Aloh, this is Izo. He mastered waterbending the same time as I. We studied under Master Paku. Speaking of which, where is the old fart?"

Aloh gave a small head bow. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Pleasure to meet you too." Izo said, smiling pleasantly. "So, are you Asashi's earthbending apprentice?" he asked as he led Aloh to the main palace.

"No, we met at the air temple."

"Ah." Izo said knowledgeably. "Maybe he could teach you earthbending. He's the bloody Avatar, for God's sake!"
"Maybe if she behaves." Asashi mumbled under his breath.

"He gave me a really helpful tip!"
