"Guys please..." Myles sighed sitting Darci down in a chair. "Let me finish the call then we can eat and go about our ways? If you want to come back for free food everyday that's fine but please at least pretend to enjoy this alright?" His words seemed to hang in the air though as the while building grew quiet. For a moment everything seemed to move in slow motion as the artillery shell slammed into the side of the building. From sheer momentum he as the rest of the children were thrown back even as the shell hit a few rooms down. Coughing from the smoke thatfilled the room the man stood grasping his head. It took a moment for him to understand what was going on...th-they were under attack! His first instincts were to run though something clicked as he looked to the children. "Everyone! Stick together and don't separate! Just stay calm alright?!"

Mirage's initial reaction was shock. She let out a scream as they were thrown backward, but got to her feet quickly when she realized what was happening. The table was already knocked over, so she ducked behind it, gesturing for the other children to join her.

Her body wracked with coughs as her powers flitted through their own confused state. Images went through her brain and the air at the same time- her power was completely out of control. Flickering images of dead bodies littered the ground in front of her and she put her fingers to her temples, hoping they would fade away.

When they did, a question entered her head. Where have I seen dead bodies before? It disappeared at once though when another explosion-like noise sounded.

Act civilized for free food. Kaede thought with a long sigh. Could he do it? Did he even the have the capability of being "kid-friendly"? He scrunched his brows together. No way, definitely not. But he supposed that he could at least try to act a little better, for the free food. Might as well take advantage of it; plus, he probably would get kicked out soon enough, anyway. He was certain that even if he could act better, it would be incredibly short-lived.

Deep within his own thoughts, he failed to notice the attack right away. His olive eyes grew wide as he realized they were being attacked.He put a hand over his mouth and nose, his eyes watering from the smoke that was wafting throughout out the room. It took a moment for his brain to register what Myles had said. Stay together? Was this guy insane? All of his instincts were screaming at him to run.
