Aura pushed ahead, flying infront of the others, "Slow down there girl, are you trying to ditch them?" Morgan asked in shock at the sudden burst of speed. Leaping in mid air, Aura made a quiet noise, "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. What does it matter?"

*River*

I pull up to them and glide along next to them as Josh and Flame fall back.

(Althea's pov)

I woke up, lazily stretching my limbs in the sunlight that filtered through the small, dusty window. Smiling happily, I sat up and rubbed the sleepy dust out of my eyes. 'What a great sleep...' I thought, leaning back onto my pillow. However, I couldn't quite shake off the feeling that something was wrong. I began to think. 'We don't have to be anywhere today...do we?' it suddenly hit me; we were late for the quest!

Springing out of bed, I threw on a dress and some leggings and barged into my sister's room. "WREN WE'RE LATE!" I screamed, pulling the duvet off of her.

Tumbling onto the floor, I screamed in protest "Get off me!" I reached out for the figure in front of me, clawing at their arm. Soon after, I reached for my duvet and wrapped it around me in a warm cocoon. Opening one eye, I spotted Althea and let out a stretched out sigh and stood. "Sorry sis... We should probably leave then."

After a while, I regained my happy exterior and dragged Althea outside to our dragons. "Shall we leave?" I beamed at her, wondering if she was angry about the scratch.

Rubbing my arm, I grumbled, "Yeah, of course. I just hope that little tyrant will behave the whole journey." Kayran let out an annoyed yet muffled growl from inside the barn. "Hey I am far from little! And I'll do whatever the heck I want!" Walking over to the barn, I began unlocking the door. "Yeah yeah, just behave this once, okay? It'll make up for every other time you dropped me!" As I unlocked the door, he walked over, hissing, "Well maybe you should treat me with a little more respect!" Ignoring Kayran's sassiness, I turned to Wren. "I don't think Gabriel should be kept outside, you know. He could run away or eat all of the local's sheep." I scolded, remembering the mistake of trusting Kayran to sleep outside once in the past.

Wren skipped to where Gabriel lay, "Nah! You wouldn't do that would you Gabe?" She rubbed her forehead against his, hand on each cheek, affectionately. He let out an almost purr, "You can trust me Wren! I would hate to disappoint." Wren turned and grinned at Althea. "Good boy." Patting his head, she jumped onto his back and placed her hand on his head. Gabriel rose slowly and groaned "Can you not sit on me when I'm trying to wake up, it's hard enough when you don't." Then he spread his wings wide and shot into the sky, leaving her sister in their dust, with a taunting message "Catch us if you can!!"

The clouds spread out beside her, swishing against her hands and fading as she cut through them. "Dive Gabe! Dive!" He obeyed her command and shot down, the wind whistling past, blowing in her hair, she spread out her arms as the wind pushed her off of the white dragon, "Now catch me!" Wren giggled, plummeting to the ground, "And be quick about it, or you might lose me!" A grin spread across her face as she watched Gabe's twist into a look of horror and annoyance.

Growling, I turned back to Kayran. "Now Kayran, we're NOT racing her. We're going to catch up with everyone else, got it?" Kayran rolled his eyes and charged into me, sending my flying onto his back, barely clinging onto his horns for dear life. "I'm in charge, not you." He boasted, sprinting out and taking to the air quickly. His purple eyes scanned the air and then locked onto them, sending him shooting through the air at high speeds. "Kayran, slow down or I'll fall off! I haven't even put your saddle on you doof!" But my yells were drown out by the howling winds that shrieked at us. I began slipping, so I gently kicked him in the side. "SLOW DOWN!" I screamed, which made him scoff and do a barrel roll, sending me plummeting down, right above the ocean.

Tears flew up as they escaped my eyes. "KAYRAN!" I screamed desperately, before being submerged into the icy water. For a second my body fell paralyzed, and I watched my life flash before my eyes, until I felt a pair of claws wrap around my limp body and carried me out, throwing me up in the air and catching me on its' back. "Oops looks like I was a little late on catching you that time." Kayran snickered as I sat up, holding one of his horns with one of my hands and wringing my dress with the other. "Well at least you don't smell that bad anymore!" I groaned in annoyance as we flew off towards my sister. 'Why the hell did I get stuck with this pain in the backside!?' I asked myself, sadly sinking down and clinging onto Kayran's back.

Tumbling towards the ground beneath her, for a moment Wren doubted she would be caught. She started to examine the land that grew closer at every second, the grass spread out, a gentle snow caught in between each sprout of grass that grew more and more as she looked further into the distance. Her thoughts cut short by talons gripping around her body and flinging her into the air to land on Gabe's back. Burying her head in his neck, she let out a sigh of relief. "You shouldn't doubt me Wren!" She nodded into his neck and wrapped her arms around it. "Do you think you can stop risking your life like that?" To which she shook her head and laughed lightly.

They continued flying for about an hour before any signs of dragons ahead could be seen. They stuck out from the light blue sky, large wings flapping and riders upon their backs... They had finally caught up. "Hello there!" Wren yelled out to the people ahead, "Sorry we're late!"
