I carefully move my hand toward it, and leave it there, showing the snake my palm, hoping I don't appear hostile.

The snake slithers onto your hand. It is surprisingly heavy...

It devours the mouse, eyes gleaming. It seems to grow heavier..

As you stare at it, two fangs appear from it's jaw, and it snarls. The marking on it's head glows a deep, angry red.

I almost yelp slightly, but hold still, trying not to set it off more.I slowly offer it the buffalo, trying to guess why it is angry.
