Stryder decides to make camp in a defensible area. Moving away from the stone pile she decides to make camp at the tree line. Here she can place her back to a solid tree and be able to watch if anything tries to attack from the front or sides. She knew that an attack from above was possible, but any movement from the tree would both make noise and cause bits of twigs, leaves and branches to fall and alert her to the presence of anything approaching. Stryder goes into a light doze, able to make up easily. Night falls and Stryder rests. Hours pass as the multiple moons rise in the sky. A soft scuffling sound wakes Stryder up.
a. Ignore it, it isn't near enough to pose a danger
b. Look for what is making the noise better safe then sorry
c. Throw a knife in the direction you heard the sound, if it was hostile it'll soon be dead
d. Make a sudden loud noise, it may just be a small animal and thus easily started

You go to where you heard the noise. Looking around at first you don't see anything and then out of the corner of your eye you see a small fox-like creature. it's wide eyes stare at you, frozen as your eyes meet.
a. You scare it off- you don't need it trying scrounge from your supplies
b. Kill it- the fur could come in useful
c. Ignore it-it is not a threat to you
d. Try to tame it-animals make good companions and can be taught useful things

You approach the creature by crouching low to the ground. It blinks at you seeing you non threatening body language. It seems to want to go with you and accepts you as its master. It gives a happy yip and joins you. Together you both make your way to camp. Nothing else disturbs your sleep. In the morning you start to break down the camp, your new companion trying, rather humorously to help you.
A. make way through the woods
b. Leave the woods to see if there is a path up the mountain
c. Stay, you think there may be more time discover here
d. See if you pet can lead you anywhere

Following the sounds Ember starts heading down and over a couple of hills as he reaches the crest of the hill he is shocked by the valley before him. After seeing so much dark colored stone there was this valley of such brilliant colors. He hadn't expected such life to suddenly appear, especially not such vibrant almost glowing land.He looked and saw many creatures. Some looked dangerous, some harmless and others, were familiar to him.
A. Go down into the valley
B. See if any of the creatures are willing to ally with you
C.Leave its too good to be true it must be a trap
D. Send some fire towards the valley, maybe it is an illusion and your fire will dispel it

Ember decides to do a slight variation of D. He finds it hard to believe that there's such a wonderful place in such a desolate land, and instead of sending fire he tumbles a boulder into the valley in hopes that it will have the same effect while seeming less hostile towards the animals there... just in case it is real.

Ember decides to go for the option that he could pretend wasn't him...The boulder rolls down into the valley and keeps going. He realizes that the sight before him is real...and he may have made some of the creatures below angry since they almost had a boulder crush them. It continues to roll until it hits the water with a huge splash causing many small creatures to scurry from the sudden eruption of water. One of the irate creatures flings something at Ember in its anger.
a. Dodge you really don't want to see if whatever is being thrown is dangerous
b. Let it hit you it may cause them to calm down a bit
c. Catch it it may just be something useful
d. Mutter under your breathe and attack back-they're being rude now
