I'm not entirely sure about your question. The genes and mutations for me are always written in black with carried in italics and visible as standard text. Are you able to give me a link to one of the tested pets showing the purple text so I can see what you mean?

Thank you and youre welcome :)

It doesn't show that when you view the pet but if you look at any pet through the search, the genes are shown in purple or blue if visible and they are green if its carried. All visible genes show up as blue before the pet is tested but after, some of them become purple and i was wondering why that is and what does purple mean?

I'm currently on mobile and will do some more testing once I'm on a standard PC - shouldn't be too long.

I had a look at Advanced Search and I think I've worked it out

This girl has the following Genetic information showing via Advanced Search:

Gene 1: (NN) Nothing
Gene 2: (NN) Nothing
Gene 3: (BG) Diamondback Markings
Mutation 1: (NN) Nothing
Mutation 2: (BB) Ram Horns
Mutation 3: (NN) Nothing

Pre-testing, I expect Gene 3 would have been in blue and would have shown as Gene 3: (BB) Diamondback Markings.
Post-testing, the text has changed to purple and now shows as (BG) as there is a recessive trait hidden behind Diamondback Markings (in this case G = Lucky Runes).
