Yeah, for example I am away from the computer for a while at a time so when someone claims something, I might not be around to edit my post, and someone else could get confused and try to claim the thing that had already been claimed. (It looks like it's going smoothly so far so maybe I am just borrowing trouble :) )

Nah, I get what you mean, and it's better to prevent problems than let them happen, then try to fix it.
