Vance and Beckett hang up their plaques as well, Vance making sure the two go right next to each other. They begin to walk over to an open field, just south of the square, and they beckon Enby to follow. Once they get there, they lay out a blanket and lie down on it. This side of the hill is at a perfect angle for laying on the ground and watching the sky.
Vance grabs Beckett's hand, squeezing it slightly. "I'm so excited!" he says in a whisper-shout.

Enby looks at the sky anxiously, considering that has never seen fireworks, he's assuming it's dangerous.

Beckett looks over at his brother.
"Just so you know, they're loud, but we're far enough away that it shouldn't be too bad. And it won't be dangerous for anyone other than the guy lighting them," he says, sensing his brother's worry.
Just as he finishes speaking, the air is filled with the sound of loud whistling, and the town falls silent as everyone turns their eyes to the sky.
A beautiful red and purple firework opens into a flower shape with a large booming noise, and then it's followed by several smaller crackles as smaller explosions set off.
Vance and Beckett lay close to each other as more fireworks, big and small, light up the sky a million colors.
