The king gently picked the drat parents up as he carefully took off the sword from their wings. He placed the sword down as he held the two shivering drats. The kittens mewed around him, confused.

Slate seemed dumbfounded on what they should do to help.

Granitite soon came back, a few green snakes in their jaws. They dangled limply, blue blood stained on their emerald scales.

Granitite placed them down, looking to him as if for approval. It seemed that the two needed support from anyone, mostly getting it from the older dragon.

Granitite raised their head happily. Slate came and nudged them, then both pranced off to go find something to bring back home.

The king now was working on getting things as well, though he probably shouldn't have been chasing small dragons that looked like a sub-breed of Mistlbists.
