The time flew by, not much happened. Though, they did start entering more woodland like areas that lacked people. Wich probably was good.
D stared out the window at the mass amount of trees.
Saph was in her arms, giggling as she saw birds flitting about with one another in a sort of dance.

There was something different about here, it felt ... magical.
D pointed at a little sparrow, Saph clapping her hands with a little cheer.
The road was turning to dirt, and soon it would stop.
Peter, one of the workers that Luke had known at the lab, was in the passenger seat of the truck besides Joshua. "Says they where last seen going north, but the cop said the girl didn't have anyone else in the car. Can't be her, maybe she left them somewhere? We don't have to hurt her."
Joshua shook his head, tapping the wheel. "No, we have to get rid of everyone who's seen them, and that means everyone. No matter what side they're on."
Pete swallowed. "I know..."

Kate was oblivious to the plots to kill her and get back D and Saph. She was much too entranced with her surroundings to worry about that

Saph crawled her way over to Kate's lap, giggling.
D smiled.
Pete tugged his shirt collar a bit. "You think... they'll get rid of those of us that are on this outside job?"
"..." Joshuas face became grim. "We signed that contract, don't complain when it turns out ..." His knuckles turned white on the wheel.
Pete hugged his clip board close. "They must be pretty far now, we should send out collar troops."
"Good call." He said, picking up the little walky talky. "Base, this is outstretch twelve."
"This is base, what's your call twelve?"
"... We want to dispatch the collar team."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
Pete started rocking back and forth in his seat.
