She glanced at him every so often before returning her gaze to the road

Soon he had both cars running, although his part of his hair that dangled in his eyes didn't need black dyed tips. Electricity could really make smokey colorations apparent on blond hair.

Yeah, no kidding. Electa glanced back at the Mustang. It looked even worse at a distance, like a demolition car at a fairground. "Come on, we've got to push this thing off the road."

He nodded, coming to a stand and undoing the wiring now. He put his glasses into his back pocket, although getting a left over shock to his hand, and fixed the wirings into place again. "Wow, didn't think I would use robotics and computer lab classes for this type of reason."

"...?" She had no idea what either of those were. She waved him over before pointing down a hundred yards or so to where a dense line of trees and brush rose up from the scrabble. "That's where it's going to go." She grabbed her things from the Mustand and put it into neutral.

He looked where she pointed and nodded, biting his lower lip. "Alright."

Well, that made it a lot easier for her. A few minutes later, the car was rolling down the steep slope with an almost eerie grace, gathering speed as it went tires crunching against the loose rocks. When it hit the tree line, it jolted and came to a stop, with much less noise than Electa had expected. Silence wrapped around them again, with the car nestled down among the trees like a strange piece of art.

He tilted his head. "Hm, that's something I never thought I'd get a chance at doing ever."
