He looked back at her, tilting his head for a second. Then ran to Basil's side, more worried about the hooman than the half-breed who he had seen protect herself.

Basil had only recently woken up, a story for another time. Despite her only recent recovery, she has survived well. She loved to explore. Even though she was in the open, she felt a security with being on the move, yet, at the same time she wished she could take life slowly. This was no time for fantasy. She was somewhere between 18 and 23, which she thought was mature for a human, but she still wasn't sure. Being most likely mature, she needed to learn to behave as such. She snapped out of her daze and picked up something shiny she had spotted. She crouched and showed it to Hexic. "what is it? she asked. It looked like some sort of silver rectangle with a shimmering light on one end. and a wire on the other, but the wire was cut. It looked old, but the light still worked.

"I've never seen anything like it. Is it some kind of mirror? Probably not..."

Is it some sort of flashlight? I really need to stop thinking for a minute, Im gonna give myself a headache. She touched her forehead, and looked at Hexic. The look said, dont try to heal me I dont need it.

Scias thought as he walked, his head down aside from an occasional glance upwards at his surroundings.

He still wasn't sure what he intended to do. Regardless of anything he was still a one time traitor to them already, just by faltering in his previous tests.
He had held out hope that finding X would change all of that, but even he didn't seem to care much.
At this point, he didn't want to waste his time trying to play into some rebellion hero role. He wanted to be on the right side of history and history was clear time and time again how idiotic these apes were. In one way or another, he figured the army would find use of him.
He'd miss Corasi, maybe.
At this point, the only thing left hurting was his pride and ego. His heart had grown cold. He didn't care anymore.

Basil "Maybe its dangerous....A keeper for sure!" She tossed the item into her bag and kept moving. "This alley should and at a main road. We can wander on from there" she mumbled, still a bit lost in thought. "So tell me a bit about yourselves." She said, trying to engage in some way, oblivious to Cass's headache.

Well, where do I start? I guess the base. We were stuck in a base for five months but didnt know because they put us in a dreamscape and whenever we woke up would brainwash us. I am a 15 year old half-breed. I can actually fly with these stupid wings, I can only glide. I guess thats enough about me. Tell me about yourself. she smiled.

She wanted to smile, but it sounded to sad to smile about. "I woke up on the street with a huge scar on my lower back and no memories. This all I can say for sure. what about you Hexic?"

"I'm a 23 year old outcast who used to live on the same planet as the same stupid aliens who blew themselves up. Haha! Aren't we great? We are known for hurting, healing, and then repeating the process. I was probably the only one on my planet who didn't. I stayed away from people because I was born blind and deaf. It was mostly healed but... I still loose my hearing or sight sometimes."

Were depressing, gosh. I guess its just easier to put a smile on your face then to talk about feelings or whatever. She smiled a bit.
