Ash sighed, and his forehead touched Jason's, and his breath fanning his throat. "I don't want to do this," he admitted in a low, anguished voice. "I don't want to see what they'll try to do to you. A dragon in the Winter Court doesn't stand much of a chance. But I vowed that I would bring you back, and I'm bound to that promise." He raised his head, squeezing Jason's shoulders in an almost painful grip as his voice dropped a few octaves, turning grim and cold. "So you have to be stronger than they are. You can't let down your guard, no matter what. They will lead you on, with games and pretty words, and they will take pleasure in your misery. Don't let them get to you. And don't trust anyone." He paused, and his voice went even lower. "Not even me."

His eyes where hurt but then something seemed to snap in him,something in his eyes changed. No flirtyness in them,no jocky play. No emotion but anger and hurt. Except...the anger drowned out the hurt. He pulled back away from him. "Fine then....I understand." He said,and he did. He knew Ash meant for him to and he did,but he didn't like it. He shoved his hands into his hoodie pocket harshly,the green stained with his blood from the past events of before. Cracks deepened on his cheeks as the faint,ever so faint,pink in them shuttered and literally looked like it died as it was forced to turn to a dark purple. "What makes you think I trusted you anyway?" His voice had changed,entirely. Not soft or thoughtful. Not calm or anguished. Not toneless even. Nothing like what he'd spoken like before. Just,it was a way that wasn't describable.

Ash didn't answer his question directly. Instead, he said, "I'm your enemy, Jason. Never forget that. If Mab tells me to kill you in front of the entire court, it's my duty to obey. If she orders Rowan or Sage to carve you up slowly, making sure you suffer every second of it, I'm expected to stand there and let them do it. Do you understand? My feelings for you don't matter in the Winter Court." Hey, at least he admitted having feelings for her.

How he admitted it stung though,and he glared at him. "You think I've forgotten? I've known since we met,and I've been trying to kill off these things inside of me,to be the heartless beast of a dragon I'm supposed to be. So don't talk to me about feelings." His voice was a growl and he seemed to have finally succeeded...succeeded in killing the emotions,most if not all of them. "I already have memories of being hatched alone and taken to a world that hate's me. A world that doesn't like what I am and a world that I've lived in foster care,house to house. One friend,one. She's my only one. And that's been clear. My siblings only pitty me,Lavender and Clementine did,and so does Flasher despite how he treats me. I've heard them in court. I've read their actions behind my back clear as the sun lit sky. So...don't say anything about feelings to me."

"You are usually infuriatingly stubborn," Ash muttered, raking a hand through his hair. "I don't know how I'm going to protect you when you have no concept of self-preservation." Ash stepped close to him, not speaking. It was Ash we were talking about here, surely he would find a way, right? A way to fix things?

Despite that fact that Ash stepped closer and seemed to want to find a way he glared . "Then don't. " He said. "I don't care about myself because...well nevermind.You know already that i don't care about myself." He muttered,swinging his tail a bit but it clearly hurt. And again,he didn't care. He didn't move to or away from Ash. He just stayed put,glaring at the ground. Wishing he'd just died in the moon fields. "Maybe this is why they abandoned my egg....I'm to soft." He muttered.

Ash shook his head and muttered something that sounded like, "You're playing with fire, you know that?" He also didn't move. "And you're not soft. You're kind. Don't make the mistake of thinking they're the same things."

"I'm not kind.And either way they both aren't the best qualities." He yanked his hood over his head tightly,his broken horns not able to be fixed so their jagged broken points showed easily through the fabric. He seemed to hide in his hoodie.He would have shifted to his smaller form to just hide but he couldn't shift still and so he was stuck as he was.

Ash gets down next to him, his face inches from his. "Are you sure?" He seemed to not be breathing

Jason seemed to almost blush and pink fluttered faintly to life in his freckle scales before it seemed to be beaten down by dark purple. He didn't say anything but he seemed to not be able to glare anymore. "I....I..." He couldn't think if he was or wasn't. "Stop messing with my emotions." Was the faint words that escaped his lips. They seemed to be so heavy that they barely took flight.
