Victoni hung his head,"I-it just came out... I just want the best for us, all of us."

Howlite swam up on the shore and put down Twister. He didn't talk as he slowly walked to his tree home. He curled up in a ball as a tear rolled down his cheek. Just as much as he wanted pups with Twister, he wanted what was best for his species. 'I love Twister too much to help Victoni right now.'

Twister knew how upset Howlite was and she didn't say anything. She just clinged to his back until they were back home within the tree to the nest. She slowly crawled off of him and wrapped her small body around his, leaning in to lick the tears away and to groom him lovingly. Twister didn't know how to help, except to be there for him and comfort him. She saw the crown on the floor beside him and she leans over to pick it up and placed it on his head. She nudges it a bit to get it straight and smiled to him. "It'll be all right, Howlite. I'll make sure our kind continues together..." She starts to lick his face, grooming him and comforting him.

Starlit pause and looked to him, "You know... I could had left, but I didn't. I stay here because I wanted to be with you... Those two been together and they need each other... It wasn't right on what you said...If the love is strong, he won't leave her...but if he does because of you...You're the one have to make things right..." Starlit sighed before swimming out of the broken window to go towards the buildings. Her tail swaying side to side which helped her swim steady.

The sky had fallen to night with other animals now coming out.

Howlite quickly stood up and rolled Twister onto her back. He put his paws on the side of her small, slender body. He licked her face many times then laid down on her,"I wont let you escape." Howlite smiled, licking her face some more.

Victoni hung his head as he swam up to the surface. It had been so long since he had been at the surface. Victoni tried to follow Howlite's scent, but lost him at the forest.

Twister let out a mew when rolled onto her back. She laughed as she wiggle between his paws cutely, purring happily. "Oh no! I'm trap within my predator's paws!" She giggled to his licks. She purred loudly and happily, leaning up to lick his fur to his chest. She nudges him down so she could stay close, returning her love for him.

Starlit had watched Victoni swim to the surface, figuring he went to go apologized. If anything, she hoped she would see the two again as she laid down within her blankets, closing her eyes to sleep. She wrapped her tail wrapped around her.

Victoni walked into the forest as the sun started coming up. He heard giggling coming from a hollowed out tree. He smelled around the tree, 'Howlite and Twister..' He padded closer to the tree,"Hello?


Howlite poked his head out of the tree and growled. "What do you want!" He put back in his head and laid back onto Twister.

Twister started to stretch her body out, getting rid of the aches in her joints with a big yawn. Her ears flicked a bit when she heard something, only tilting her head back to gaze towards the hole. She wiggled her frame when she felt his laying on hers again, leaning over to lick him lovingly. "Who is it, Howlite?" Was it Victoni? How did he manage to find them if he only been in the water?

Howlite sighed,"It's Victoni... I o-only want to protect you..." He whispered into her ear. He pulled away from her and stood up. He walked back to the hole and looked out. "What do you want Victoni?"

"Im sorry, okay!" His old voice cracked as he looked at the ground. "I was wrong. There is only four of us left, we need to stick together."

Twister purred softly, nodding. She licked his muzzle before he got off of her. She laid there for a moment before rolling over to crawl up to the hole beside Howlite's legs to peek out. Her eyes gazed down to Victoni as she heard him speak. She then glanced up to her mate before looking back down. "I think he's telling the truth, Howlite." Her tail swish behind her against the kelp nesting.


Starlit stretched her form as she left the building, swimming towards the surface in the direction that she had seen Victoni swam off to. Coming to the surface, she peeks out and slowly gaze around as she made her way to shore.

Victoni nodded,"I am! There is something bigger that the Magon out there!"

Howlite shook in his place. He put a paw in front of Twister, instinctively. "If you are telling the truth, then what do you want with us? Twister and I are happy, we are a family. I don't want to loose that..."

Victoni looked up at Howlite,"like I said, we need to stick together. I am not going to hurt Twister." Victoni said annoyed.

Twister didn't back away, but she kept her head where as she licked his paw. Her ears flicked forward. "Something bigger than Magon?" She asked, being curious before peeking down again. "Victoni... What do you mean there's something bigger than the Magon?" Was there another creature bigger than the other one? Would it come towards their nest? Twister pondered this before rubbing her cheek against his paw, purring lightly.

Starlit slowly came to the shore, crawling out as she flicked her ears forward for any sounds as she started to track Victoni's scent to make sure he was okay.
