She now was unsure of what to say or do.

Little might be known, but a few people peaked out windows and dialed on phones. A ground team was already moving a long under cover.

A mother and child where taking a bike ride along the way they drove, and the child noticed how odd D looked.

D ducked her head as the kid pointed, calling to his mother.

"Mama! mama! That lady has poky head things!" He said, wobbling on his bike.

The mother shook her head, not looking. "No one can have things like that, dear. It's probably just the light."

"But mama! I saw! I see, look look look!" He said.

Kate flinched as she heard the little boy cry to his mother.

D sunked down so she hid from the window view. Her wings and tail curled tightly close.

The boy blinked once D disappeared, then started asking his mother if people could disappear.

Kate was silent.

Thankfully, the mother didn't seem to want to look back or anything. She just brushed off her sons questions.

Thank goodness for that.

Soon they turned around and headed back toward their home.
