"Huh. Interesting."

Jason nodded.

One-eye and her brother soon let go of one another, smiling.

The little brother gently held his sisters wing and lead her forward, helping her not to spin around. She kept tilting her head to see where she was going, and smiled up at Ash.

"Thank you, now he will not die!" She said happily.

The other babies all over the room looked to Ash, and they cheered happily with one another as they threw their wings and front legs up in the air.

Jadescar nodded. "One-eye's mother is quite stubborn, it was wise to have One-eye take her brother instead.

Ash only nodded. "I only told her that her brother would die otherwise."

"But you evoked her to take it into her own talons, and that saved a life." Jadescar said calmly.

One-eye nodded in her wobbly way.

Her brother came over and hugged Ash's leg. "Thanwu."

Ash nodded again, not saying anything else.

Jason smiled, but it was a bit ... well. It wasn't like usual, something wasn't the same.

The baby let go of Ash's leg after a minute, then began leading his sister back to the cave.

All the other babies refused to go anywhere. They kept climbing everywhere.

Jadescar began trying to gather them up, but it was almost impossible.

What was different? Don't tell me Jason was dying again!


Ash began to try and help Jadescar with the babies

Well, not again. He hadn't stopped dying, Foreskel could only take care of the pain.

They giggled, bouncing around and knocking things over.

But this one little baby was smaller than the rest, but the same age. He was chewing on some red root.

What?? So Jason was still most likely going to die??


Ash wasn't entirely sure how safe that was

Yeah.

It wasn't safe at all, too much hard concentration of it could clog up the throat and suffocate the consumer.
