Well then this wasn't good. At all.

It wasn't.

Suddenly, a huge talon shot out of a shadow to their left. It gripped the stone and pulled. Another burst out and then it pulled up a whole body. A Nightflare. It screeched loudly, spreading its ragged wings. It was a Wellwater.

The baby squeaked in fright, rainbow scales turning white and green.

The Camophangs suddenly appeared all around them, in the cavern. The new hatchlings that where there got shewed away by their parents, quickly scampering down the tunnels on the left and right.

Ash turned and ran, letting the dragons take care of it.

The baby was shaking, tiny talons gripping his shirt tightly.

The Camophangs quickly tackled it, their roars and rustling fading the farther Ash got away.

Ash, despite not being exactly fond of the dragons, he tried to help any of the babies that had lagged behind

They where fairly small, and seemed very grateful. Most of them had turned dark greens and bright teal.

One of them was pacing in a circle, missing an eye. It's scales blinked and flashed different, disoriented colors.

He picked that one up while he kept running

The odd baby squawked in surprise. His one eye was blue, blinking in confusion.

Rainbow baby sniffed the new baby and then began licking where her eye was supposed to be.

He hardly noticed

The tunnel they had gone into was long, curving left and right. It soon opened up into a large cavern ... full of eggs and hatchlings. Eggs where nestled in nests along the walls, the hatchlings hopping about happily in the safe little cavern.
