Kris saw where Carter had gone and he ran after his direction. He wasn't about to leave the kid unprotected.

Carter stumbled backwards as he pulled the rope free, making Hayden slump sideways. He ran up to him, about to pick him up when he felt like he was being watched. He turned around, seeing a huge dragon watching him, it's feathered wings ruffling.
"Hello Carter," The dragon said dropping to the ground, making him jump, "You have work to do," The dragon picked up Carter, who started to squirm.
"Le-et go," He stuttered fearfully as the dragon went out the temple and pointed at the statues, "Release the curse on them!"
"Wh-hat," He said confused only to gasp as the dragon squeezed him tighter, "You heard me! Release the curse or I'll crush you!"

All Kris saw was the dragon holding Carter too tightly. "Hey! Let him go!" He yelled, coming right up to the dragon. "Put him down right now!"

TJ tended to Azrail, doing what Cobra asked before he died.
Kenzie glares at Chipper and Ranger, twirling her makeshift staff. She jabs it at Chipper in an attempt to end him so she could move on to defeating Ranger as well.

Siren freezes as she sees cobra get stabbed, she quickly reverses back to normal before she gets hit by a wall of emotion. her ears flick up as she sees carter run. she silently follows through the trees. she hears what the dragon says, she transmorms into a large elegant-looking, feathered dragon with large wings."I can do it."

(so kind of like an arendini but feathered)

"Do what, release a curse, I think not. Only Carter can do it," The dragon turned to Kris, "Here you go," She chucked Carter, who yelped as he was hurled towards the statues.
The spear, he was going to hit the spear. Don't do it... don't release the curse, his thoughts screamed but he held out his hand anyway and the statues begin to glow. He closed his eyes, expecting to land on the spear and feel pain, a lot. Nothing. He waited a second more. Nope, still nothing. He opened his eyes, the statue was holding him in the palm of it's huge hand, watching him with interest. The other one was nearby, sitting down and tapping it's spear against the ground.
Archer chuckled as she watched everything unfold, then thought about what they could do and aimed an arrow at them, deciding to get rid of them as fast as possible.
Chipper shifted into a chipmunk, clinging onto the spear, laughing like a maniac.
"Ranger ranger ranger, you pathetic excuse of a human. Come on, do your job," Chipper muttered laughing even harder as Ranger paled even more.
"I, no thanks," He said turned and dashing away, his fear of death greater then his fear of disappointing his so called master, "Nope nope nope nope."

Kris was shocked, he couldn't get his mind to work his body to move as he stared up at Carter. The the palm of a statue. The statue was looking at Carter ... 'what?'

"I... hello?" Carter said timidly as the statue lowered his hand so Carter could jump safely onto the ground.
"He's mute, he can't talk. He is curious about how you where able to lift the curse," The other statue said, it's voice creaky and rough, like sandpaper against a chalkboard.
"It's my power... I lift curses," He explained timidly walking over to Kris, "You guys aren't bad, right?"
The mute statue shook it's head while the other one laughed, "My name is Stone and the mute one is Grey. We are good spirits who guard the temple. Someone placed a curse on us that froze us so they could enter the temple."

Kris shook himself from the daze and quickly held Carter close.

Kenzie frowns, resting the spear in front of her. Chipper was annoying.
