Well, he obviously hadn't stayed in the school after he had left the lunchroom. In fact, there were some little pieces of twigs and leaves in his hair. He said down, not even bothering to apologize to the teacher

The girls weren't the only ones that were confused. Shawn wondered what had happened but wasn't bothered enough to ask

Hazel was about to explode at him, but she kept calm. 'Where did you go?' was what she was going to ask, but instead she said.
"Why didn't you just skip? You're already late for class..." She didn't make eye contact with him, she just looked at her phone still.

"I didn't want to," he replied. "That would be a waste."

"Pfft. A waste of what?" She looked at him confused, yet angry, for some reason.

He watched her, very amused at the moment. "Of my time."

"How would it be a waste of your time to leave this... prison of education?" She asked with the same mixed emotions.

"What would I do if I skipped?"

(Right... I have done K12 before. That was the worst two years of my life. :/)

"I don't know... maybe go to the arcade... the cafe down the street... I could probably name a lot of things to do outside of school." She smiled slightly, just starting to get control of her emotions.

(Oof. I used to always want to switch to online school, but...not anymore)

"Well, yeah, but by myself that all sounds really boring."

(Yeah... I wouldn't recommend it.)

'I could come with you' She thought, but she didn't say it, not exactly...
"Well sometimes I need a break from this prison... So... I could go with you? Then you probably wouldn't be bored." She suggested.
