Basil smiled a bit sadly at Hexic. Oh well, Ill figure out who my family was eventually. she thought.
"Funny that the humans planet hardly has any humans" she chuckled sarcastically. She resumed petting Hexic, half listening to the info about iris and urbose, half lost in thought. Aweared question floated through her mind... Do aliens have families? she shook the ridiculous question out of her head. Of course they do.There is no way they don't. She was a bit bored of all this danger as ridiculous as it sounded. She just wanted to relax for a while. Sitting in this apartment was the most relaxed she had been in months.

I have a family, she said almost absentmindedly, but as a half breed I guess I dont count.

"You count!" Basil almost shouted... "sorry... just, everyone counts, no matter who they are." she took a breath to calm down. Hexic looked very vulnerable, and she was very tempted to see if he was ticklish. She tried to hide her smile as she debated wether or not to tickle attack.

I really dont count. Im lower on the spectrum of this war than, no offense Basil, humans. Especially the fact I can barely try to defend myself, only when Im under attack and I have my dagger-swords. She looked outside longer, seeing more and more random aliens coming out of apartment buildings.

"I promise you, you count. if you think about it, humans hold you as the potential key to solve this. If humans prove that we can co-exist, then perhaps we don't have to die. Not only this, but you are kinder and tougher than you give yourself credit for." Basil firmly stated.

Youve known me for, like, an hour. I promise you, I do not hold any key in saving this place. Its nice she wants me to thinks Im better, but Im really not.

"Can you guys just shut it? Put your sidebars on hold for 3 freaking seconds." Scias snapped at the children chattering, lashing his tail. "Actual adults in the room are trying to talk about actually important things. If this bores you now, go right outside and get shot, I don't care anymore, I'm not working with a bunch of idiots who can't even listen to things that'll keep them alive in the first place.. Just shut up."

X glanced back at him, whistling before returning his attention to Saras.
"Might be some corruption already. I'm with the Protectors. Doesn't make any sense for them to have a bounty on me unless there's been some heavy coercing. Like I said, it's the army that's got beef with me. But hey, easy enough to clear up. Looks like you guys might need the help at this rate anyways, need someone to reel Zeizan in before he goes postal."

"I had a family. It wasn't a very good one though. It kept hurting itself," Hexic frowned, remembering all the times one of his parents came home missing an arm or leg.

And I bet the adults don't even know half the curse words I'm thinking about using on them.

"Weird how they pull that too since I've never been part of their little army since the start, but guess the general assumption's been that the Daarizi are honor-bound to get in on their idea of peacekeepin'. Little they know, their threats aren't worth more than the paper they print 'em on. Only people I'm supposed to be taking orders or threats from are my own."
He laughed, shaking his head as he held his arm out to stop Scias as he suddenly jumped up, sparking. He legitimately looked like he was about to throw Hexic out the nearest window.

"No one cares, do you even know where you are right now, seriously dude you are the most useless creature who ever-" He hissed out loudly, only to catch a hand from X over his mouth again.

"Call it a deal though. Not worried about their false bounties or pressurin', just want to help since it's the right thing to do at this point. Stickin' it to the man is a bonus luxury."
