"Is...are you okay?" She said,cupping her cheek gently. She felt her heart race and didn't understand it. She wasn't scared or running or fighting. So she didn't understand what this...warmth and...fuzzy feeling in her chest was.

She nodded. "Yeah...I'm fine," she said, her face hot under D's hand. Her heart had shifted up a couple of gears, and Kate felt like it was so loud that everyone in the mall could hear it

D's tail twisted around itself nervously. She came closer and gently kept a hand cupped to Kate's cheek. She then tentatively brushed her lips to Kate's.
