Basil was surprised to have Hexic at her feet. She didn't mind, she was just surprised. She try to hide a giggle.It was hard to believe that something so traditionally scary was so care free. She just stayed comfortably as she was, listening to the conversation.

You thought it technically. But you said I was to protective. Of course Im protective of you! Youre like a small child. She smiled even more, stifling a laugh.

"Glad I could help." X gave Hex a friendly smile and took his seat back on the chair.

"Alright, Zeizan, I'll entertain you now since as much as I like you guys, you're puttin' me at real risk if I just let you bum around here forever."

"Finally.. We need help finding a Doctor Iris."
Scias said matter of factly.

X stared at him blankly before shaking his head.
"Nope, sorry. No can do. Not goin' anywhere near that one."

"Are you actually serious right now?"
Scias had to use all his focus to keep himself from sparking again.

"Look, told ya outright I want nothin' to do with this war. Umbra's got it out for me, hard. I go anywhere near one of their bases and his crones'll be on me like flies on honey. You go lookin' for trouble and you'll find it. And that Doctor is nothin' but trouble."

"Corasi. The reason I'm like a child. Is because I still am a child. Have you not realized this yet?" Hexic said sarcastically. Really, she should have understood this by now. Even if he was older than her. He had decided not to get into Scias' conversation, it seemed a little... personal.

(more like it's the plot..)

Scias pinched the bridge of his nose and exhaled, trying to calm himself down.
"So you're just planning on sitting on your hands and doing absolutely nothing then? Umbra is out for me as well, moron."

"Yeah, but I bet you also didn't steal months off intel and weapons off the army either. Pretty much got all the locations to their bases mapped out and all their little commanders. Havin' me finally dead would put a real dent in the resistance efforts."

"So that's it then. You know, you say you're not involved, but you're still out here selling information apparently. Typical. So why not this one?"

"Cuz I don't have any. Her whole operation moves around so much any info I've got on her is probably months outdated." X shrugged.

Basil crouched down to Hexic who had settled on her feet and smiled. She patted him on the head and started to rub behind his ears. (he is still a cat right?)

Basil looked up to X and asked, "Who is Iris and Umbra? Do you guys know them?"

(He's a cat the majority of the the time. He prefers cats. And squirrels.)

X looked completely surprised. "You been livin' under a rock or something, Princess? A human who doesn't know who Lord Umbra, head of the Orias Upega army and leader of this planet's invasion is? I swear you been livin' on another planet or something all this time, they're the people huntin' all you humans down." He shook his head and took a drag of his cigarette.
"I see Professor X is gonna have to do some education tonight."

"And Iris?"
Scias folded his arms.

"Just another one of his crazy Commanders. If you remember Sanmon, she's in the same reign. Just doin' a bunch of biological experiments on other aliens from what I've heard. Like to keep my distance from that as much as possible, workin' with basically half a core already."

Basil flushed in embarrassment, but she honestly hadn't the slightest clue who either of them were. "Lets just say I have been a bit too busy surviving and didn't have time to find out who exactly wanted me dead. would you mind telling me what else you know about them?"
At this point she had sat down cross legged and placed Hexic on her lap, stroking his back lightly.

"You know, I still hardly know who they are. I was trying to survive too. Even after they captured us, I can hardly understand who they are."

I am a clueless little child. Hehe. And this hooman? Is not bad at all. Why did it have to be until now that I find all the good people in this world?
