After a while he takes down the bottom part of the fence to free Adrien's hoof. The man looks at the hoof for a while before tearing off a strip of cloth and tying it around the injured hoof.

Cricket smiles and stands triumphantly.
"I like him. Can we keep him?"
He nuzzles Adrien's neck in relief.

Dove looks up, unaware that someone had heard her. "Why is that? I love the spring, not too hot and not too cold."

Adrien doesn't put any wieght on the injured hoof, "Stay here if you want the first chance I get I'm going home."

"I love it too but it also means the ice is melting which the ice was one of our few defenses," Raven explains.

"I forgot about that. Well spring brings constant storms so maybe that will discourage them a little?"

Raven thinks about it, "I suppose so but think about it even through storms they aren't discouraged easily,"

"Well all we can do is hope." she listened to the birds once again, enjoying their cheery noises. "The mountain ice should be thawing soon then. That will bring floods."

"I hadn't thought about that," Raven muses, "perhaps we could use that to our advantage. Until then you're right all we can do is hope and be cautious."

Dove nods her head happily. "Should we check in on some herds? just to see how they are doign and if any more horses have been taken?"

Raven nods once, "Yes we should." She begins trotting towards the nearest herd which is currently the Crystal herd.
