Taika sighed, "Well, I can understand animals since I've been around them for so long." she said with a slight shrug.

"It would appear that way. I don't need to translate for him, and he greeted the chief in our speech.... But what was that noise just now?"

"Wait does that mean you can understand Fisher?" Yannis asked and looked around for Fisher. "I don't want to know."

Fisher was on deck fighting against the wind looking for what had been dropped.

Taika nodded, "Yeah, it comes in handy if I need help."

Kaladin hopped to his feet, looking around for the cormorant and testing the air. "If you don't desire to know, I won't say anything."

"Good to know and where is Fisher?" Yannis asked slightly worried.

Fisher was fighting hard and saw what had fallen was a crate that had landed on a member of the crew's leg. Other sailors were trying to get the crate off him.

Taika sniffed the air, "Hurricane." she said in horror, she had been stuck in a hurricane before, but it had been on land, not in the ocean.

Kaladin worriedly gestured to the door. "If the scent is any indication, he must've slipped outside while we were forcing it shut..." he murmmured. "And if there's a hurricane out there..." He hesitated. "...Fisher, all of us... we're at the mercy of the storm,"

Taika shook out her fur in determination, she pulled her hood up, "I'm going out there to help." she growled.
