Mitch didn't know if he wanted to kick himself or just go and dive into the lake. "I didn't mean it like that..." He said hoping to get the foot he lodged firmly in his mouth out. "I... I just don't want you to be angry at yourself anymore...." He said quietly.

A'ine smiled. "Nope. She's not mad. And she didn't say who she ate with just some other girls she met." She said not able to hide the excited grin.

Saquia smiled looking up at the girl. "It's great! Thatnk you" She said continuing to eat.

Ilandere sat down a few seats away from any of them. "I have yet to meet her. She was absent yesterday and I am barely ever in the room." She said honestly as she folded her hands on her lap.

Ember shook her head. "Good luck with that," she said, turning and walking to the edge of the lake. She grabbed a stone and threw it. It skipped seven times before disappearing into the inky black depths. She grabbed another and flicked it in, skipping it only five times this time.

"Well, at least she didn't eat alone," Orion said, smiling as well. He stood up. "I'm gonna go throw this away. Do you have any trash?" he asked.

Saffy grinned. "Good, but thank Saquia, it was her idea," she said.

Cheshire grins, revealing her pointy teeth. "You don't have to sit so far away, we don't bite," she said, flicking an ear, and lazily flicking her tail. "Except for Alice, but don't worry, just don't provoke her," she added. "Says the one with pointy teeth," Alice said, annoyed. Kanin stood up, and moved to sit between the two. He smiled apologetically at llandere. "I apologize for their squabbling, I assure you this happens quite often," he says. "I suppose you'll meet your roommate today then," he said. "Do you know her name.
(Does Mitch have a roommate? I need a roommate for Kanin.)

Mitch clutched his hands into fits frustrated at himself. He looks around then plops onto the ground thinking. He takes off his glasses and wipes them angrily. He shook his head pulling out his guitar and thought it he played a little he'd think of something to say to Ember. He thought for a long time tapping the neck of the guitar before he thought of something to play. He looked at the neck of the guitar to make sure he got his fingering right. He played the intro before starting to sing. "I am a question to the world... Not an answer to be heard... Or a moment that's held in your arms..." He sang and felt a little better right away.

A'ine smiled at Orion. "Nope. Alderic took mine." She said as she glanced at the coolingg food of Ember and Mitch's. "I wonder if I was right..." She muttered to herself.

Saquia smiled. "I figured as much. She's the only one who doesn't think I eat enough." She said taking a bite of a dumpling.

Ilandere shook her head. "Oh no. It's quite the opposite. I am simply sitting over here because I was not certain if your invitation was that." She said moving over a seat. "Also it is quite easier to speak when you do not have to turn your neck."

Ember picked up another stone and chucked it as hard as she could. It didn't skip, it just dropped into the middle of the lake. She reached in her pocket and brought out the crystal. Angrily, she brought her arm back to hurl it into the lake. when the sound of Mitch's guitar made her freeze. She let her arm drop back down to her side, clenching her fist around the crystal. She dropped to her knees, letting her hair fall around her face. She wiped her arm across her face furiously and stood back up, the crystal still clenched in her palm. She tilted her head back to look at the stars. "And what do you think you'd ever say? I won't listen anyway. You don't know me, and I'll never be what you want me to be," she sang softly, skipping another stone.

"About what?" Orion asked, stopping and looking back over his shoulder on the way to the trash can.

"I don't think you eat enough either," Saffy said with a smile. She flopped on her stomach on the floor. "Do you guys have much homework?" she asked.

"Good point, but it's also harder to hear," Cheshire said. Alice took a bite of her fish. "Why don't you eat anyway?" she asked. She loved food, especially fish. Kanin looked sideways at llandere. He hoped Alice hadn't offended her.

Mitch thought he heard someone else singing when he sang the second line. He stood up looking back over at Ember. She seemed a little calmer now. He sighed feeling a bit better. He walked a little closer to her still playing. "And I want a moment to be real. Wanna touch things I don't feel." He sang in his low voice stopping walking about six feet behind Ember.

A'ine looked up at him. "Oh, nothing.. I just was hoping I was right that Mitch could calm Ember down..." She said taking another sip of her soda.

Saquia smiled inwardly as she ate more of the food.

Phinesa grinned. "I just have to write about satyr history and that's easy! Saquia actually is like the humanoid assistant teacher so she doesn't have homework besides reading what she's suppose to do tomorrow at class."

Ilandere looked up at Alice. "Oh. I just am not hungry right now." She said looking down at her hands. She was honestly, if she just admit it to herself, too skinny to be healthy and add that with her greyish complication she always looked ill.

"Wanna hold on and feel I belong. And how can the world want me to change, they're the ones that stay the same. They don't know me 'cause I'm not here," Ember sang softly, skipping another stone. She felt something wet on her hand and realized she was crying again. She dragged her sleeve across her eyes, determined to keep Mitch from seeing her cry again.

Orion smiled and turned towards the trash can. He threw his trash away, and put the dishes themselves in the tub for dirty dishes. He walked back to the table A'ine was at and sat back down.

Saffy laughed. "Lucky! I have to draw a scene from where I was born, and I suck at drawing big time!" she said. "People got nightmares when they saw my stick figures," she said, laughing again.

Alice raised an eyebrow. "You certainly look hungry to me," she said, taking a gulp of her grapefruit juice. Kanin had to agree with his sister, but he didn't voice his thoughts. Cheshire finished her sandwich and transformed back into a cat, hopping on the table, and lazily lay down on it.

Mitch took a step closer to her smiling a little when she seemed to be calming down. "And you see the things they never see. All you wanted, I could be" He sang then looked back at Ember and his smile disappeared when he saw her wiping at her eyes. "Now you know me, and I'm not afraid and I wanna tell you who I am.
Can you help me be a man? They can't break me as long as I know who I am." He sang not smiling and looking down at his fingering again.

A'ine sighed looking at the food. "Should we try and find them?" She asked feeling awful for not going after Ember herself. Wasn't that also part of being a best friend.

Phinesa shrugged. "I'm not too good at writing either." She looked over at Saquia. "Hey Saquia! Aren't you really good at drawing after you a-...took a few lessons?" She asked catching herself before she said Roron in front of her sister.

Saquia nodded with a smile. trying not to noticed what her sister had almost said. In all honesty she had been a decent drawer before she met him but he helped her a lot.

Ilandere shook her head. "Oh no. I am quite satisfied." She said looking up at them faking a smile hoping they'd buy it.

Ember tilted her head forward, trying to hide her tears. She was grateful Mitch was trying to make her feel better. She wiped her eyes one last time, and tilted her head back to look at the stars, trying to fake a smile. "And I wanna a moment to be real, wanna touch things I don't feel, wanna hold on a feel I belong. And how can the world want me to change, they're the ones that stay the same, they can't see me, but I'm still here," she sang a bit louder.

"Let's give them a bit of time. If they don't come back in ten minutes, then we should go find them," Orion suggested.

"I'd like to see your drawings sometime if you don't mind, Saquia," Saffy said, smiling. "I can sorta write," she says, shifting embarrassedly.

Alice leaned across the table. "Hmm. You're a decent liar, but not good enough," she said. "C'mon, tell us, what's wrong?" she asks a bit harshly. Kanin placed a hand on his sister's shoulder. "Alice," he said, a warning in his voice. Cheshire looked sideways at llandere, walking across the table and rubbing against her hand.

Mitch walked even closer playing his favorite part of the song. "They can't tell me who to be. Cause I'm not what they see. Yeah the world is still sleeping while I keep on dreaming for me. And their words are just whispers and lies that I'll never believe." He sang putting all of his effort into that part. He smiled looking at Ember from her side. He knew her smile was fake but was going to wait until later to say anything about it.

A'ine nodded. "Sounds reasonable." She said looking around the room quietly. She didn't know what to talk about with Orion... Well Besides Jora. "So, you're going to Jora's home with her in a few days right?" She asked curious.

Saquia shrugged. "I honestly don't have any here. I mostly drew to get money for food." She said trying to keep up a positive attitude. 'At least until Roron started secretly giving me food...' She added in her own head.

Phinesa bit her lip. "Hey Saffy did ya still wanna go find Ilandere?" She asked hoping to get out before Saquia hurt herself trying to hold in all her emotions.

Ilandere looked blankly at the girl. "I'm simply not hungry. Is there something about my saying it that you happen to find untruthful or do not understand?" She said almost as emotionless as her expression was.

Ember didn't look down at Mitch yet. She was still on the verge of crying so she focused on the stars. "And I want a moment to be real. Wanna touch things I don't feel. Wanna hold on and feel I belong. And how can the world want me to change, their the ones that stay the same. I'm the one now, 'cause I'm still here," she sang softly. She trailed of on the last line. The song rang true for her, and although she was singing softly, she but emotion into the song.

"I hope so. What about you?" Orion asked, truly curious. He was still surprised at how quickly he had made friends. He had been expecting to be sitting with a few people from his class, acquaintances, not friends, and yet here he was talking to one of his friends.

"Sure!" Saffy said, noticing the mood tip downward a bit. While she wanted to lighten the mood, Phinesa knew Saquia so much better than Saffy did so she went along.

Alice glared at her. "All I'm saying is you better either eat breakfast, tomorrow or explain yourself," she snapped. Kanin stood up, and grabbed Alice's shoulder. "Alice! Stop it!" Alice turned to look at Kanin. "Do you want to make friends or not?" he asked. Alice stood up. "Well aren't you even the least bit worried?" she asked, glaring at Kanin. "You have a mighty fine way of making friends yourself!" she yelled, whirling on her heel and stalking off. Kanin sighed and looked down at Alice's half-eaten sandwich. He wrapped the sandwich back up and turned to llandere. "I hope you'll accept our apologies, llandere," he said quietly. "Alice isn't usually this easy to upset," Cheshire said.
