Out of curiousity, how are your Level Up points and Proficiency points set up for BerryFresh? The main key when having a "tank" pet is to use all of the points in either health or agility.. or some mixture of both. Doing this will give them a good dodge chance, damage mitigation and health points. Sadly.. they do next to no damage but they stay alive and take a beating while your other two pets kill things.
For proficiencies I'd recommend either Earth (because it's abilities can 'taunt' the enemy into attacking the tank) or Frost (because it's abilities have a chance to absorb some physical damage). Both of those use Physical Damage, so items will strength will boost their damage slightly.
I've also heard of people using Light or Dark tanks, as they can heal themselves and other party members, but I haven't tried these much myself. These both use Magical Damage, so intelligence would boost their damage (and in turn healing).
On my tank..
I spent 10 Proficiency points in one health boost, gives 7k heath and used the other two for agility (though.. 2 points doesn't give much in either health or agility so I don't think it matters to much either way) and then I used all 240 Level Up points in agility. After you figure in the stats from gear.. I have about 10k health and 600 agility (which gives about 25% chance to dodge incoming attacks, and blocks about 50% of all incoming damage).
However, even with the huge amounts of health, dodge and block.. I still do take a decent amount of damage so I use "heal" ability all pets have when he gets to 70-75% health. I still need to use health potions occasionally but not too much.

My tank gets killed first too. She suppose to take the brunt of damage to save the other two. I just reworked her stats a little to make her a bit stronger tho. STILL think not perfect. But better then she was.

Do you all use potions when battling? You can use one every other turn. I've had to use a bunch.. especially on the Elves and the final boss of the last dungeon. Missions give tons of potions.. like I said I use them all the time and I still have like 2000 of the best ones haha.

We were discussing battling. That way when you get back you see this ping and will be able to remind me. It is about the tank and stuffs.

I got thru the dungeon finally. I am actually all done with everything and waiting like you in the Vale to find out about what is going on with the King. It sounds like we are going to go after a shrine at some point and maybe even more then that. Lots of lands out there and very little explored.
I just think I need to rework my stat even more. I used a few potions I think in the dungeon battle. My thing was I didn't realize that Varsna? TOOK my mana to heal herself after so many hits. SO I learned that as soon as I could use it, go with Finishing move to get rid of my mana so she couldn't have it.

Yeah.. Verna is a pain. I usually just use a finisher everytime I have 20 mana so I don't have to deal with her crap.. it's so frustrating when you are making progress and thann BAM she's got 90% health again. It was a nice realization when you figure her out.. arenas are the same way.. each opponent has a unique ability that's a pain. Once you figure them out.. they aren't too bad.

This first opponent isn't too bad.. just kill. After that they get trickier.. one does an attack that, if not blocked, stuns one pet for 10 turns.. having your tank knocked out like that is a deal breaker for sure! Another opponent ignores normal targeting and goes after whoever it wants too.. one does super damage if you hit it at certain times. You definitely need to keep an eye on what their buffs and your debuts say.
