"Oh... I'm sorry..." I said looking at Latan my features soft and my emotions getting the better of me I growled and sat back "dammit" I muttered and then I smiled "thanks guys for caring..." I said "I felt like I just wanted attention... When I really didn't... I hate attention..." I said and then turned back to Latan my face sad "I'm sorry that happened... But time must go on... and they will always live if you still remember them..." I said smiling sadly.

"Oh, I do," Latan says. "I remember every mortal I've ever seen. My duty is to eternally remember what was and is to be forgotten."

Iskren doesn't seem very bothered. "Nothing wrong with wanting attention," he says. "I mean, look at Sibnele. Didn't Subuki tell you about him? That's what happens when you go by forgotten and never known for too long."

"I dislike attention a lot... It makes my anxiety sky rocket... and causes insect feeling in my skin" I said nervous and began to crack my knuckles then my neck and my shoulders and elbows "No I am not showing off... I am nervous... and its like agh..." I muttered shifting into a small panther and stretching and shifting back.

Latan leans back against another branch. "Oh, there has to be some part of you that enjoys being noticed." His somber mood is gone, and his smile is so bright, he might as well be Apollo.

"no... Not that I can think of... I always tried to stay away from anyone... and when I did talk to someone it was hand to hand combat with the boys in my camp... I am the strongest girl in my camp... I can use a sword... Bow and arrow... dagger... and well hand to hand..." I said shrugging and sighing.

"Sounds like they're - " Latan jumps down and lands to your left. "Envious."

"Latan, back off. She's a minor, even by your standards," Iskren says, sounding irritated.

"What makes you say that?" Latan asks, only a couple inches away from you.

I looked at him eyebrow raised "why would they be envious of a shapeshifter...?" I asked, eye contact maintained.

Latan shrugs. "Well, it makes you unique in what sounds like a landslide of common people. You're special."

"Special..." I said still meeting his gaze "there is literally nothing special other then my shifting ability and my ability to use any weapon..." I said, "I was taught when I was young... More of it was drilled into my skull that I wasn't special..." I said eyes sad but they didn't leave his gaze.

Latan plops down in a comfortable sitting position, but keeps in eye contact. "Are you familiar with the term bennu, Sammy?"
