"Oh, nothing," Ember said, turning the crystal around, squinting. Suddenly the crystal lit up, and purple light streamed from it. "It's like a glass prism, but it magnifies starlight," Ember explained, twisting the crystal, sending the light bouncing across the lake.

"I prefer lemonade," Orion said, gesturing to his drink. "I don't like fizzy drinks," he said, smiling. "I wonder if Alderic thought to bring drinks to the campfire," he said, hoping he had.

"So should we go meet her?" Saffy asked, grinning. The elevator reached the final floor and she stepped out as it dinged.

"Then we're you're first friends," Alice said, not as a question, but as a fact. Kanin looked sideways at Alice. "I'm pretty sure you can't claim people, Alice. But I would like it if you would join us for dinner, even if you aren't going to eat," Kanin said. Cheshire purred in Ilandere's arms.

History: She was born a year before Alice and Kanin, and the three of them are best friends.

Mitch watched the light on the lake. "Wow. That's amazing..." He said continuing to walk still holding her hand. "Next time you get other's feelings at least drag me along with you I was worried..." He said quietly looking up at the moon it's light shining on his glasses a little.

A'ine shrugged. "I'm sure he did. He seems to know what his doing..." She said taking a sip of her soda. She suddenly put some pieces together about something she couldn't figure out with Orion's thoughts earlier. "Who were you thinking you knew I liked earlier?" She asked lightly glaring at him.

Phinesa thought for a bit. "At least let me give this to Saquia before we go and try to figure out what Ilandere looks like." She said holding up the food that was getting a little cold.

Ilandere stared at them in disbelief. Maybe they hadn't caught a glance at her awful scar before her hair returned to covering it. Or maybe they thought they hadn't seen it. "I already said I would join you. I have no other plans that can not stand to wait an hour or so." She said stroking the cat a little.

Alderic made it to the top of the outcropping and started walking around stabbing some arrows into the ground around the edge of the cliff to light later to make it were they could see before they stepped off it accidentally. He then put the bags down and held a flame on his finger walking into the woods to find a dead tree for fire wood.

Jora had seen Alderic do the candle flame on his fingers on top of a cliff before he walked into the woods. She started walking quickly to catch up to him before he finished setting up by himself.

Ember slipped the crystal back into her pocket. "Alright...thank you," she said, grateful that he was worried. She looked down at their hands again, smiling slightly. She looked up at the moon too, and her hood slipped off her head. She didn't bother to put it back on.

Orion looked at her. "I didn't think you liked anyone

"Alright!" Saffy agreed. "Lead the way!" she said, thrusting her pointer finger into the air. She didn't want to bring cold food to Saquia. That would be rude.

Cheshire continued purring. "What's with the face?" Alice asked, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow at llandere's expression of disbelief. She had noticed the scar on llandere's face, and while she was rude at times, she wasn't going to ask about it. Kanin noticed they'd gotten to the front of the line. "May I have a tuna sandwich, two dishes of mackerel, milk, grapefruit juice, and a strawberry smoothie?" he asked, ordering for the three of them.

"I knew you would say you didn't like anyone," Orion said, grinning at A'ine.

Mitch smiled rubbing her hand a little with his thumb. "You're amazing too. Plus you can sing better then anyone I've ever heard." He said looking straight forward trying not to blush but failing a little this time as his checks became a light pink. "You said you have a sister, is she coming here as well?" He asked.

A'ine smirked a little. "Right. And why did you think that?" She asked truly curious. She didn't know what about this situation bugged her but something did with his assumption.

Phinesa grinned walking down to the last door on the hall. She barged right in knowing that if Saquia was doing anything she didn't want anybody to know about she'd be in the bathroom. "Hi sis! Saffy and I got you some food!" She said holding it out to her sister.

Saquia smiled a little as she looked up from her dao blades to the two younger girls. "Why that you Phinesa! Saffy." She said knowing it had to have been her sister's idea. She took the food putting it next to her on her bed as she went back to sharpening the sword.

Ilandere looked at them blankly not a smile in sight. "Oh nothing. I was just surprised Cheshire liked me so quickly. Every cat I had ever met, including shapeshifters have taken forever to allow me to hold them." She said hoping she might believe her.

Ember froze. "She should be here. She would be here if it weren't for me," she said, glaring at the ground. His compliment earlier had made her blush, but now she was back to her usual shy, cold self. She turned to stare out over the lake. "She was the one who took others feelings. I didn't until she couldn't anymore," she growled. She was never the witch, it was always me.

"I haven't seen you blush or get embarrassed yet, but it was just a guess," Orion explained his reasoning. He finished his last bite, and stacked his two plates on top of the tray.

"Hello!" Saffy said, practically bouncing into the room. "Whoa, those are cool weapons!" Saffy said, looking at the blades Phinesa was sharpening.

Alice raised her eyebrow even higher. "I don't believe you," she said, but didn't push the topic. Cheshire leapt to the floor and stretched. She suddenly transformed, and stood, blinking at llandere. "I'm afraid I haven't introduced myself. I'm Chesire," she said sticking out a hand to shake. "And I apologize for anything these two said before I got here." Alice promptly whacked her over the head with a book. "Just because you're a year older than us doesn't mean you have the right to act like we're little children!"

Mitch stopped and stood in front of her still holding her hand. "I'm so sorry Ember... I... I had no idea..." He said putting her bag down to bring his other hand to her chin to make her look at him. "Please don't be mad with me... And never blame yourself for it...." He said. He could tell by her tone that she blamed herself for it.

A'ine chuckled shaking her head. "Well, I guess that's a good way to put it... But did you ever consider I might be putting a calm me into your head?" She asked smugly. She would never think of doing it but couldn't resist making the boy think about it.

Saquia smiled up at the girl. "Thank you. I like them too." She said wiping it off with a damp cloth before putting the two almost half swords together and putting them in their sheath. "Were you girls planing on a sleep over?" She asked looking between them.

Phinesa shook her head. "No. But that's a great idea!" She yelled looking over at the girl. "Wouldn't it be fun?!" She asked excitedly.

Ilandere appreciated Alice dropping the subject. She held her hand out toward Cheshire's to shake her's right as Alice hit the girl. She stood there shocked for a moment before smiling. "Alice, your resent action was rather childish..." She said smiling a little.

Ember shook her head. "I'm not mad. But it is my fault. My sister was adopted, she was human," Ember said. "It was the rest of us who were witches, and yet she was the one who was blamed," she said, twisting her head away from Mitch.

"Point taken, so honestly, I have no idea," Orion said. "But I somehow doubt you would do that," he added. A'ine seemed honest to him.

"Yeah! It would!" Saffy agreed excitedly. She took off her bag and placed it near the foot of the bed because it was rather heavy from all her books.

Alice blushed and then snapped, "I was just admonishing punishment to those who deserve it," she grumbled. Cheshire just rolled her eyes, before shaking llandere's hand. "Honestly Kanin's probably the most mature of us all," she said, grabbing her tray food. Alice glared and grabbed her food with Kanin following suite, minus the glare.

Mitch inwardly glared at himself. He wasn't saying it right. "No. Ember, never blame yourself and never, and I mean it, call yourself a witch." He said cupping her face to make her look at him. "I've seen really witches that live up to the stories and you are about as far from that as possible." He said hugging her.

A'ine looked at him smugly. "You are right. I probably wouldn't do that, but I might if I really wanted to." She looked back to make sure Jora was gone. "Oh and Jora just said she already ate and is going to help Alderic." She said smiling.

Phinesa smiled broadly. "So. Do you want to go see if Ilandere wants to join in?" She asked as Saquia started eating the food they had brought her.

Ilandere smiled at the three. It was still odd for her to be around people who cared about each other. She followed them wondering where they would sit.

"Don't you understand?! I really am a witch, I'm not just trying to insult myself!" Ember said, tensing as he hugged her. She stared out at the lake over Mitch's shoulder, wanting to rest her head on his shoulder, but she didn't want to seem weak.

Orion sighed in relief. "I hope she isn't mad at me. At least she's not holed up her room," he said. "Who did she eat with?" he asked, hoping she had company.

"Yeah!" Saffy says excitedly. She looked at Phinesa. "How's the food?" she asked, hoping Phinesa liked it.

Alice led the way to a table near the window. She placed her tray down and began eating her mackerel. Cheshire followed with her tuna sandwich. "So llandere, who's your roommate?" she asked the girl before taking a bite of her sandwich. Kanin followed, sitting next to Alice, and gesturing for llandere to sit down. He flicked one ear up to hear her answer better.
