Jay gives a small start when Orion drops down to the table, knocking the cup over. He fumbles, and barely manages to catch it before it could hit a chair or the floor. He sets it back down gently. "Sorry for jumping." He says quietly and stiffens when there's a crash upstairs. Jay puts his pillow aside and gets to his feet, avoiding the question, "I'm going to make sure everything's alright." He spots Justin outside Ashia's door and offers him a smile that didn't quite exist while his eyes search the scene for anything else that seems not quite right.

It takes Jackson a few moments to wake up, and even then he isn't fully awake. He rolls out of bed, stumbling into some clothes, and opens the door. "Whazzit?" He rubs his eyes and tries to see who needs him.

"Think you can find Scarlet," Justin asks, "Look I'll explain later but for now it's best just to leave Ashia alone so she can get over it. Be careful Scarlet won't be acting like her normal self. She's gonna be a lot more aggresive then normal."

Scarlet lets out a snarl as she rushes into Jackson's room. She acts like she is possesed by something. Her eyes even have that crazy look in them as she tears up Jackson's pillow.

"I will return with news of Scarlet's whereabouts, if not the fox herself." Jay promises. He knows a possibility of what is happening, knows one of the possible effects of the bonding sickness himself, and is determined to help as best he can. He hesitates for a moment before dropping his blanket beside his room's door and heading to figure out where Scarlet is.
Any of the doors he knows had been closed before Scarlet had gotten loose, he eliminates from where she could be. He races forward when he hears his friend give a gruff word of exasperation, sending a silent plea that he'd be alright. "Jackson? Are you alright?"

Jackson, meanwhile, had his hand on his sword. Once he realizes what he's grabbed and who the animal is, he stops and puts it back down again. He didn't want to cause any harm to the spirit animal, having some idea that she wasn't in complete control of her actions. He searches for something to defend himself.
When he hears his friend, he responds so Jay wouldn't have more fear than needed. "I'm fine. My pillow is less so. What's going on?"
"I only have my guesses." Jay says, coming up in his friend's doorway and checking the fox spirit animal. "Do you want to go tell Justin where she is, or should I head back?"
Jackson offers to head back, handing Jay a shield to protect himself and the rest of what's in the room to devise a plan to keep Scarlet in the room.

Scarlet licks her lips when she sees Jay remembering what he has as a spirit animal. She charges Jay as quickly as she can. Her first attack is a fient to the shield before ducking under it and attacking Jay with her sharp teeth. A few seconds after she grabs Jay Scarlet snaps out of it. She lets go of Jay's shirt before looking around. Her look being one of shock and suprise.
Did I do this, Scarlet asked him.

Justin held the door after it nearly went down do to Ashia ramming her shoulder into it. This was a loosing battle Justin knew. Once she was in one of these episodes nothing would stop her until it was over. At this rate she'd bust the door down before that happened. Justin did his best to just stay there and if it came down to it he'd rather fight Ashia to make sure niether she nor anyone else got hurt. A few minutes after the final blow the room went quiet. Justin knew to wait knowing that Ashia even though she wasn't in her right mind was every bit as dangerous. After a calm period Justin asks if Ashia is alright.
"Justin," Ashia says looking around her again in tears, "I can't find Scarlet."
"She's out here with us," Justin hoped Jay would hurry up and bring her.
Her voice is pleading and scared but grateful, "Thank you."
Justin opens the door leaving his sword outside and walks inside the room to try and comfort Ashia. He notices the destruction in the room: a hole in the wall, matress torn up, nearly broken door, and more he couldn't see in the bad lighting.

Jay has his eyes on Jackson, the lesson of looking at those who are talking to him having been drilled into his habits from an early age, and didn't realize the fox is charging him until a second too late. He releases his spirit animal as the fox ducks under his shield. Jackson reacts on the offensive, grabbing his sword once again without a second thought.
"Don't." Jay wards Jackson's attack off even as Scarlet bites him. He absorbs the spirit animal's attack for the most part and uses the shield as a barrier between her and her possible escape. Jackson is obviously reluctant, but he puts his sword back down the same time Scarlet lets go and steps back.
Jay looks around and answers, "If you have no recognition of it, I suppose it's not fair to condemn you for something you didn't know you were doing." Lunar settles down and keeps quiet, perching on top of the dresser and staying in the shadows. It would take her a little while more before she trusts the fox. "Ashia and Justin are wondering where you are. Let's head back to them?"
Jay props the shield up against the wall, fingers the new holes in his shirt, and flinches when he touches blood, warm and sticky. His mind is distant while he plods back to Justin and Ashia.
Jackson is on edge, looking ready to run through anything that threatened his friend. He places himself between Jay and Scarlet. He's definitely fully awake at this point in time.

Scarlet limps after Jay and Jackson looking upset and scared. She knew that Jay was hurt and Jackson was worried. She also knew he had a large sword and wasn't afraid to use it. Sighing Scarlet tries to find something to help heal Jay's wound. After a few seconds she runs to Ashia checking her partner over.

"Jackson, Jay I'm so sorry," Ashia apologizes, "My bonding sickness is the main reason why I don't want anyone else traveling with us. Scarlet and I can't control what happens when we're taking by it."
There are still tears in Ashia's eyes and her cheeks are tear streaked. This was a bad one for her, "You're hurt Jay. Did Scarlet do that? Let me get some herbs to help treat that." She reaches into her bag and gives Jay three jars of different healing herbs.

Jay zones back into the real world when Ashia says his name. He takes on an expression of concern. "There's really no need to apologize, I can't figure out how to stress that enough." He understands the reason Ashia doesn't want others travelling with her, he is accepting of the fact, and he respects that wish.
Jay grabs his blanket and wraps himself back up in it, planning on heading back downstairs again. He pauses when Ashia continues to address him and feels guilty for having not been able to help her through the bonding sickness, not that he could have as he most likely would have been injured even more if he tried.
"It will heal on its own. No need to worry about me." Jay says. He hands the healing herbs back and offers her and Scarlet a smile. He is pretty sure that his injury isn't anything serious and he doesn't want to deplete Ashia's supply.
Jackson keeps a close eye on Jay, tempted to hold him close, keep him safe, heal his injuries, and never let him go. He trusts that Jay knows what he is doing, though, and knows that he can't keep Jay as protected as he wished. He calms down.

"Jackson I promise I'll do what repairs I can and for what I can't repair I'll pay you for," Ashia says, "In the meantime Scarlet and I have work to do." She sits on the floor and Scarlet sits beside her knowing that meditation was one of the few tricks that worked after the sickness.
Justin sighs quietly worried still, "Just tell me what to do to help Jackson."

Buddy perked up sensing that something was wrong as they walked towards the Black Bear Inn.

Jackson nods his head. Yes, they were going to repair what they could and pay for what they couldn't. They couldn't leave his place like this. Friends or no, he had his business he had to take care of. "We can work in the morning, but I expect it to be taken care of before you leave. If you have to work now, you can patch up the damaged wall, fix the door, replace the pillows, the mattress, and sheets among damage to any thing else I can't spot in this lightning. I'm going to bed. See you in the morning."

Jay heads back downstairs and takes his guard at the table again, looking out the window. Situations like what had happened, the sense that something is missing and there is still something to do, is one of the reasons why he finds it hard to sleep at night.

Ashia nods once digging a needle and thread out of her pack, "I'll get started right away."
"I'll see if we can find stuff to repair the walls, doors, and any other damage with," Justin walked out of the inn. This was not one of his better days.

(Time skip to morning? Sorry about the short response I have writer's block.)
