Virgil sent a small smile at Kalib. He looks ahead and walks next to Maddy. He taps her shoulder to get her attention.

Aryn couldn't help but smile at Kalib's returned cackle. He watched as he moved ahead of the group letting out a playfully grumpy sigh, wishing he could move as fast.
"Well, too bad everyone with a harbinger is forced to join the military." , He replied, cutting another bush out of the way. "It's like we're pawn or slaves. They just haven't decided to end us yet cause they need us to survive. Well, those are my thoughts on the matter."
Surprisingly, Aryn was calmer than usual, he blamed it on trying not to get noticed by anything dangerous. He was also trying not to waste energy because they still had half a mile to hike before they reached the settlement.
He turned to Oris. "Yo, you sense anything weird yet?" , He asked, hyping himself up a bit, excited to fight something other than overgrown plants.

" Hard to tell, we have a false positive in the team, it's messing with my capacity to tell if there is anything dangerous around unless it's bigger then our life harbringer but the area seem clear. Still, i'll widen the range of my power again just in case." Oris avoided the subject of how harbringers were forced into the fight, he had willingly joined it after all so it wasn't realy his place to say anything about that.

She moved her attention to the person next to her, she didn't say anything she just looked at him wondering why he wasn't with the rest

Virgil signed with his hands "Are you okay?" hoping that she knows sign language. Virgil looks into her eyes.

She nodded and thanked him for asking 'im used to it so it doesn't matter' she signed to him and kept walking

"It can't be that bad. Sure, the flying to different places is the real down side to being a harbinger, but, I mean, come on! We get to see the world! Travel places people can't dream of, fight monsters and help others, explore the highs and lows as a group and have someone to watch your back when on dangerous missions. If that isn't exciting and interesting, I don't know what is." Kalib says before remembering he had planned to keep quiet. Then he shrugs to himself, deciding that since he's already talking he might as well continue. "That's just my opinion, though, and what's a word coming from me?" He down plays himself by using his core trait's stereotype of being not as smart as the others, using a laugh and shake of his head to further dismiss himself.
He didn't mind travelling, that's already part of his blood being in a nomadic colony and all. It also gave him an opportunity to look for his mother in the places he went. So, for him, it really isn't that bad.
"As for sensing anything, they'd probably find us before we find them. We're too loud... Sorry, habit. I'm too loud." Kalib stuffs his hands in his hoodie's pocket and plods along besides the rest as quietly as possible. Usually, when traveling, he is used to singing or telling stories but the longer he's been in the military, the less and less that carefree and comforting habit has popped up.

Virgil hears what Kalib said and sees him go to the back of the group. He sighed and went to the back and patted Kalib's shoulder in comfort.
