Sam and Ryan nod to let him know that they understood, while Ray gave verbal confirmation. Ray handed the sword off to Sam, who fell into position rather easily.
"So, what happens if you tense up?" Sam asks, making sure to relax.

"It could result in jolting movements and missing your target, or ending up missing a blow. It could become fatal, allowing your enemy to over take you." Jack replied.

"Ooooh, yeah. Not good to tense up." Sam says, handing the sword off to Ryan. Ryan seemed to be a natural.

Jack nodded, watching.

When Ryan finished showing his abilities, he hands the sword back to Jack. "So what's next?" He seems a bit eager to get onto the fighting part of things. Obstacle courses? No problem. Sword fighting? Too easy. He was possibly exaggerating his abilities.
Ray and Sam felt like they could take on the next challenge.

Jack sheathed his swords again. "We'll head to the armory, we should get you all some swords for your sizes so we can work with them at the same time."

"Sweet!" Ryan cries, ready to get his sword and be the most awesomest soldier you've ever seen. He and Sam start talking on the way to the armory - or rather Ryan does all the talking and Sam listens like good siblings do.
Ray falls in step with Jack. They were feeling a little awkward, knowing that last night they had said they weren't loyal to the king of queen and then joining the next day.

Jack put a hand to their shoulder, wanting to help them feel less awkward. He could tell they felt like that, both by what they'd said going against what they where doing and that they didn't seem to say anything at the moment.

"Just letting you know, I'm still not feeling particularly loyal to the king and queen. But they've got an army and they're going against Estazia. My enemies enemy is my friend, right?" Ray says. They put their hood down and ran a hand through their crazily colored hair.
