Orion leans over to you. Maybe we wait to see if whatever is in the leaves is gone before arguing? I ran off because I have had, um, unfortunate experiences with gryphons and they scare me.... a lot. The rustling sounds closer until... A massive scorpion-looking thing steps forward. It rears up and bellows. Orion squeaks before sprinting away.

"Holy hexes." She started backing up slowly.

It jumps at you and lands directly on top of you. It seems to not have noticed that its tail cant reach things under it. Youre safe (ish) for now. It is covered in armor like scales. A small ******, barely large enough for a finger to poke through, is directly under its heart. Note: none of your weapons are finger-width.

Her breathing became heavier and she started freaking out. Two of her fingers lit on fire and she just lost it. "What the hex is happening?!" She shoved one of the finger under the scorpion's heart.

(Finally letting her freak out about her pyrokinesis)

The scorpion wails in agony before collapsing sideways. On its back is a saddle with a satchel tied to it. Some unfortunate soul must have attempted to ride it. The path is now clear. Orion is standing directly in front of you. I, uh, went around the evil scorpion. You seem to draw monsters and enemies so youre on your own now. He walks away.

"Don't care at all. Go ahead and leave." She got up and dusted herself off. She started running down the path past Orion.

You come to a massive door in the side of a cliff. You push it open gently to find three doors. Each one is blocked by something on a pulley. A sign reads, "To continue, you must solve the puzzle. Place each statue on their chosen pedestal." A set of statues to your left and a set of pedestal is to your right. Statue A is in the shape of a bunny. Statue B is a fossa. C is a kangaroo. D is an ocelot. E is a tenrec. Pedestal 1 is labeled, "I eat bugs and worms. I hail from Madagascar." Pedestal 2 is labeled, "I eat plants and I can jump 9 meters." 3 is labeled, "I hail from Madagascar and eat most other animals." 4 is labelled, "I eat plants and my young are called kittens." 5 is labelled, "I eat other animals and I rest in hollow trees during the day."

(Solve the puzzle to continue. IF you get really stumped you may use google but only if you're stumped. No cheating please.)

(I had to search up what a fossa was because I've never heard of it, sorry.)

I pet Mahu one last time before playing dead, hoping I wasn't doing something stupid in trusting her. I was quite interested in what she meant about me being prophesized and defeating things, but I figured those could wait.
