Finley moved a little closer to him. "You know, you need to perk up a bit. People walk all over people who seem frightened. At least fake confidence." She said. She grabbed his chin and looked at his eyes. "So, I ask again, why? Did someone hurt you?"

He listened closely to what she said,his heart racing a little more as she moved closer,he didn't understand why it did tho. His eyes widened and he flinched slightly as she took hold of his chin,but he couldn't look away from her eyes. He felt like the response was coming without him wanting to share. "I-its not that I w-was hurt....it's that.....I g-get hurt..." His voice was soft as a breeze.

Finley frowned. She pulled him into a hug. "I can help. Just tell me what I have to do and it will get done." She cooed. She let him out of her hug and cupped his face. "I am here to help."

His heart hammered at the hug,not having been hugged for a while,and he did his best not to flinch as she cupped his face,his cheeks turning a shining gold of a blush. The night black of his hair fluttering around in splotches like happy butterflies. "Th-thank you...b-but....there's n-nothing to be d-done. U-unless I where t-to be taken from my home and f-from my parents,then i-its not going to stop t-till I leave the house." He said just as softly as before.

Finley looked around. "You could come with me. I've run once, I can do it again. I'd protect you." She offered. She nervously twirled a lock of her red hair. This may not have been her best or most thought out idea but she was likely going to have to leave soon anyways.

"R-run?" He was shocked. He'd never thought of that,never. He'd grown up with his parents treatment and the way things always where. "You'd protect....me?" He said,saying me as soft as a breeze as he pointed with a frail hand toward himself.

Finley nodded. "Of course! I'm a fairly strong demon. I can handle it." She said. She puffed out her chest and flexed her muscles with a slight giggle.

He was caught off guard as his own giggle came up,his hands quickly slapping over his mouth in shock from the happy sound.

Finley smiled. "Aww, cute. So, what do you think? Would you want to run with me? It wouldn't be too hard." She said. She rubbed the back of her neck nervously.
