For once he found himself reluctant to fall asleep. The bed had been given back to its owner and he himself lay on the floor near the fire tonight. It was all he could do to lay and stay put. If the elf had just agreed to sharing the bed! He wouldn't have done anything weird...maybe. After a while though he fell into a restless sleep. When morning came about he was curled tightly about himself as he slept near the fire.

Alec wasn't ready to trust a human enough to share his bed with him. He remembered how well that went a long time ago... He shook that memory away. He wouldn't allow it to surface ever again. He slept quite well, after putting a blanket on Gale. The next morning, he woke up feeling refreshed, unlike yesterday when he had slept on the floor. He hopped out of bed and crept passed Gale to the chest he said his normal clothes were in. He needed to change out of his nightclothes.

What was the point in sleeping? Slowly he opened his eyes, having not rested well the entire night. As he saw the elf he refrained from moving, just watching. He did want to scare the elf, yet he wanted him to know he was awake. Or did he? Would it hurt to watch and pretend to be asleep? Was that wrong? Yet he stayed quiet, silently watching the elf through half closed eyes. Maybe just a little peek....

The elven mage was kneeling in front of the chest that he explained the day previously had his normal clothes in it. He rummaged through it while making sure his nightshirt stayed pulled down over his knees. His hair was down, cascading over his shoulders. There were lots of tangles in it, but not enough to potentially ruin his beautiful head of hair. He heard Gale shift some and froze, quickly glancing back. When he saw the human had just adjusted himself in his sleep, he went back to rummaging. He pulled out a white, short sleeve shirt and black jeans. This is what he wore when he was a teenager? It was far too casual for the elf, since he was used to his elegant robes. He stood up with them in his hands and walked back to his bedroom.

As the elf left the room he stretched, forcing himself into a sitting position. He was sore from having slept on the ground though it didn't really bother him all that much. They were going out for coffee weren't they? He really need to change his own clothes. At the thought he glanced down at the plain green shirt he had worn with its bloody splotches about the neck. His jeans were tattered and looked dirty as well. Maybe they could go to his home first so he could change and shower.

Alec returned a few moments later, hair brushed and tied up in its usual bun. "Good morning," he said with a pretty good mood. His eyes also looked over Gale's clothes. "Perhaps a visit to your home to change will be the best course of action?" He asked. He went back over to the chest he'd been rummaging in again and pulled out a coat and some shoes.

As the elf entered the room again he smiled warmly. "That's exactly what I was thinking actually. Only problem is my home is on the opposite side of town. And it's not really in the city exactly. It would be quite the walk, or a bit of a drive if we called for a uber."

Alec raised his eyebrows. "What's an Uber?" He asked. He hadn't been in the modern, human world for a very long time. Some things were very foreign to him. "It doesn't sound like a good thing, whatever it is. I'm fine with walking. I walk all the time."

Gale gave him a confused look. He didn't know what Uber was? "Uber is kind of like a cab service, but they can be cheaper than a cab." He answered not sure how else to put it. "But I'm fine with walking as well." With that he rose to his feet making his way towards the door. He took up his jacket and tossed it about his shoulders. His hat was still missing though. Luckily he had put a beanie in his pocket incase it got too cold while he was out. He slipped the hat on his head before looking to the elf. "Ready to go?"
