Tatsu & Ainsleigh

Tatsu tried counting them all, but he ran out of fingers and had to sit down to start counting on his toes. There was a yelp as his tail smacked into one of the pups as he sat down. "Oops, sorry about that. Ainsleigh, could you come over and let me borrow your fingers and toes? I'm all run out." He said a little frustrated with all the furry spots gallivanting around.

His mate had no intentions of sitting down to count somebody elses sylesti's. They were just not her responsibility. Besides, she wasn't going to sit that close to her mate until she was willing to tolerate his touch. So she looked at the two mother puffadores. "You and you!" She demanded pointing at Rowena and Rasemary. "Gather your clutch of babes and follow us. We'll take you to our gathering point and wait for our tamer. With any luck he can help you get back with yours."

"That's a pretty smart idea A." Tatsu replied. "Should we bring them too? There not much bigger than them puffys anyway." He suggested pointing to Galaxy Spirit and Skully.

Ainsleigh growled at Tatsu for the suggestion. "That's their business Tats, none of ours. If they want to come it's up to them. But staying out here for more bandits to find and sell them isn't what I intend to do. If they run off again, they're on their own!"

Galaxy picked up Skully and floated over to them.

Tatsu & Ainsleigh

Ainsleigh let Tatsu lead the way back to their blind. It was a good place to meet back together outside of town. If their tamer would go anywhere other than the stables it would be here first to meet his party sylesties. So they had come back and spent the night out here until dawn, then return to their stable in the morning. Tonight would be the last night before accepting that something had gone wrong and that he wasn't returning. Despite her tough exterior Ainsleigh was beginning to worry. She had grown to love this tamer and she was going to have a hard time keeping it together for much longer.

For all of his simpleness, Tatsu would step up to fill the gap, but he wasn't a tamer. Though he never had a problem leading their party safely through any troubles, and that was a great comfort to her. Already he was taking them a different path around, dodging bandit units that they heard in the foliage. They even managed to thwart a snare trap thet had been set up to nab a few unwary sylestians.

Once safely at the blind, the two draeyl's remained quite and encouraged the others to do likewise. Ainsleigh lay down and allowed Tatsu to settle close enough for her to lay her head in his lap. Tatsu's angry looking features kept a vigil while she relaxed. They both hoped the puppies wouldn't get too rambunctious.

Galaxy faded slowly out of existence.
