Lily cocks her head. "I-I don't know, he never really shows which one he likes over another. But if I had to say one I would say it was rabbit. There aren't many rabbits left on the island ever since all the dogs came."

Hugo sniffs at his crate. How had he gotten here? He had not a clue how but he did know that he was lucky to be alive. He stands but his crate was to short for him to stand up all the way. He looks around hoping to find a way out. He paws at one of the sides, making the boards creak. He kicks one making it fall, then another intill he made a hole enough for his body to go through. He looks around at all the sand, having never seen it before. He felt alive, he had defied death! He barks with joy, not caring who heard.

Buck walks along the beach carrying the few fish he had caught in his mouth. He himself did not care for fish but it was all there was. The dogs barks brought him to its crate. The dog was huge, a true giant, having long legs, and a slender body. "Hello, there tall one." Buck calls to it.

Hugo turns to see a dog. "Sorry if I disturbed you I was just too happy not to bark." This small dog was friendly looking, and the fish he had looked delicious. "hey do you mind if I tag along with you? I have no one else to talk to."

Buck smiles around the fish. "Be my guest! Lily will like you for sure!" Together they walk back to the den. "I'm Buck by the way."

"Hugo." He walks into the cave. "Nice place you have here."

Honeycomb
She was going to answer Lily but she turns her head to see Buck and a big dog walk into the cave. Feeling shy again, Honey shivers a little and wraps her tail around her side. She wants to be brave, she is only a little smaller than a Husky and should know her strength, but she can't help it. She can't seem to talk so she waits for Buck to give her a job, like hunting or bringing back supplies for a bed perhaps. Her fearful eyes widen once again.

Buck wags his tail. "This is Hugo our newest pack member." He nudges Honey to her feet. "It ok, he is a great Dane, one of the kindest breeds of dogs." He whispers in her ear.

Lily jumps up and runs around the big dog. "Oh boy!" She pants with excitement. "Your so big! My names Tigerlily but you can call me Lily!"

Hugo looks down at the small dog. "Well hello there Lily." He bends down to sniff at her.

Honeycomb
At the gentle nudge Honey stands up, luckily the bleeding of her paws had stopped. She shyly looks up at the great dane, her tail curled under her. "Hello.." She whispers with only a bit of voice. Her ears laid back, she realizes how small she is to how big she should be. Was she a runt? She would not know, but the towering great dane reminded her of the strong muscular build of huskies, and big golden retrievers. Shouldn't she be almost that size? Maybe it was the lack of food she was given. Honey cannot yet stand fully strait up because of her paws not able to support that much weight and balance without shaking to much. Also, her muscles were sore. From what she did not know, she began to wonder why she could not remember.

Hugo looks up from the pup. "Nice of all of you to have me in your pack, Im great full."

Buck picks the fish back up. "Ok now let's eat! No need us going hungry now is there!" He takes a fish to Lily, then to Honey. "Hugo I saved you the biggest one."

Lily bites into the fish. "Careful of the bones!"

Honeycomb
"Thanks you.." Honey says to Buck, she eats the fish slowly, but after finishing it she is stuffed miserably. One fish? She sniffs her side, were her ribs supposed to show against her fur? Isnt that just how dogs are? She brushes that aside and finds herself sleepy after a "big" meal. She walks over and lays close to Lily, almost falling asleep.

Buck licks his paws. "I don't much care for fish but food is food." He lays by Honey. "Don't worry, we will all be just fine. Honey do you care to tell us where you came from?"

Hugo sits across from them, not wanting to get to close. "I came from the pound." He says resting his hands on his paws. "My owners died in a plane crash."

Lily was on her back, paws in the air. She was already asleep.

Honeycomb
Honey whimpers, remembering only flashes of her past. She looks at Buck, wishing to hide her eyes under her tail but does not. "I....I don't know. I know I came from a place where I was starved, beat, and abused... But I don't know...." She whimpers, pawing at her right eye. "I know I can't see out of this eye." She flicks her left ear "and this ear has always been sore.." She has never seen the chunk taken out of it. Her eyes turn to Hugo, "I am sorry about your owners...."

Hugo looks up. " I was just a pup when it happened, so I don't remember them much. I know that there was two parents, a mom and dad, then there was three kids. I don't even recall their names." He looks at his paws sad.

Buck yawns. "Dog fights." Is all he says before he goes to sleep.
