Sastrugi laughs, a small quiet thing that spills from her curved lips, meant just for the three of them.
"I feel the same, so I wouldn't call it too excited. This is something everyone looks forward to," she says. It's the biggest festival of the year, after all, filled with every activity imaginable and funded by the queen herself. It's even one of the only chances for adults to move up the rankings.
Still, she doesn't forget her gifts, handing them towards Hakaishin with newly sharpened claws. "Don't get cold, since you don't have so much excitement warming you up."
The IceWing pauses, waiting for the other to finish donning the cape. Though her posture is as refined as ever, her choice carries a gentle warmth.

The duo smiled and listened to her speak, before Hakaishin was given the gifts. He beamed and said, *thank you!* before putting it on.
He looked awesome, with the cape on and billowing behind him in the wind.
Wait, wind?
Hakaishin quickly grabbed the cape as it tried to fly away. *too much wiiiiiiiind!* he yelled as he was launched into the wall before hitting it and sliding down slowly, giggling.
Tiamat, who had gotten on his hind legs and beat his wings to make the wind, now fell down to all fours, laughing hard.

The dichotomy between Hakaishin standing with his cape billowing proudly and sitting on the floor with mused hair ignites warm satisfaction in Sastrugi's chest, a flame that's flared even higher by the two's accompanying laughter.
"Let's go," she says, tipping her head towards the open exit at the end of the hallway. The sky outside is a pale grey, and flecks of snow cover the floor. When she speaks next, her tone is teasing. "You can snowball him later if you want revenge."

The two rose, chuckling. They followed her closely, looking around.
When she mentioned a revenge plan, Hakaishin grinned. *only if you join in. That would be hilarious.*

She trails off, flashing a smirk over her shoulder as she takes off. "Come on, then."

(Yes, absolutely! Merry Christmas by the way, or happy holidays depending on what you celebrate. :D)
It doesn't take them long to arrive at the center of celebrations. Hundreds of snow globes have been placed around an empty field, their light casting soft shadows across the snow. Many citizens gather in lines as they prepare to participate, and many more are seated at the edge, waiting and watching and cheering, rigid codes forgotten in the most important night of celebration.
Sastrugi lands, ears perked as she says, "They'll be starting off with the snowball fight. It means the youngest dragonets can participate as well, though there'll certainly be older dragons as well, so don't worry about your age."
"Until it begins though, let's start making preparations." The snow is soft beneath her talons, and she watches as the friends and families surrounding them begin to form ammunition out of it, scooping and gathering it into packed balls.

An announcement rings over the audience, signaling the beginning of the fight. Sastrugi links her tail to Tiamat's, pulling him towards the side. She ducks as snowball flies over her head, only for another explodes against her side in a cloud of snow.
"There's no way to get tagged out," she says, returning fire as her attacker flies away into the grey skies. "So just let lose and enjoy yourself."

He grinned and grabbed some snowballs and began lobbing.
Hakaishin didnt even bother to hide, instead dodging every shot at him and even catching some out of the air before using the momentum to spin around and throw them back even faster.
