She glances at her and chuckles. "I think they like you." She gently pets the older tortie she's come over to. Who, like all tortiseshells, is pretending she is not enjoying being pet while purring loudly. The tortie doesn't seem to like Chelsea, though.


(Tortiseshell cats are considered to be good luck, like how black cats are bad luck. No idea why that is, they're just a few splotches away from being black kitties, but that's the superstition lol)

"This has never happened before," Chelsea responds looking nervous, "Guess I'm cursed for life by these little guys. Not that I believe in bad luck or anything." Chelsea pets the cats she can as the thirteen black cats fight for attention. She tries to break up the fight only to ended up falling and getting swarmed by the cats. "Chester will be so jealous when I get home," Chelsea mutters.


(Neat.)

She comes over and gently pats one of the many black cats on the head. "You say that like being swarmed by adorable cats is a bad thing!"

"I have a cat of my own at home otherwise I would adopt all of these little kitties," Chelsea responds, "I know how my cat is after I've been around an unfamiliar animal. He won't come near me at all for several hours or sometimes days." Chelsea sits up as three cats throw themselves into her lap, "Did we brush up again catnip plants on our way here?"

She shrugs. "Maybe you're just a cat magnet today." She chuckles and winks. "Maybe they like almond milk."

"I don't think so," Chelsea responds, "I've had almond milk before and then came here and only one approached me and it was a stripped orange cat who was adopted the same day."

She shrugs. "Maybe they're more social than you thought. Or maybe they're just desperate for attention." She gently strokes a different black cat. "Maybe both."

"Maybe it's been a week since I've been here," Chelsea pets a couple of cats not in her lap. She looks at one of the cats which has green eyes, "Do you ever have a feeling of de ja vu?"

"I think everybody has at some point." She nods, glancing at the green-eyed cat. "Why?"

"I don't know why but this cat looks familiar, but I know I have never encountered it before," Chelsea responds as the green-eyed, black cat headbutts her.
