The echidna shook his head. "No, he was polite to Locke and myself. It's Selkie I'm concerned for..." He replied.

"Chief Zuno knows Selkie is under our protection." Blue tried to comfort him.

Douglas was dealing with a stablehand that had cracked ribs from a cow falling on him.

(Oof, I feel sorry for that stablehand.)

Kaladin nodded stiffly, then sighed. "Right, of course." He said, offering a small smile.

Blue smiled back a little.


(Stablehand will be fine)

(But having an animal that could weigh a literal ton falling on you? Ouch.)

"So, how much were you told?" Kaladin asked.

Locke eventually picked up and tracked down Douglas scent. However, when he arrrived at the stables and saw the wolf was busy, he decided against speaking for the time being.

(True a friend of mine had that happen and was at school the next day just fine)

"Not much aside from a hopeful negotion with your clan." Blue answered.

Douglas finished and spoke, "Come in Locke.''

"In all honesty, I doubt the chances of the tribe declining the offer at this point." Kaladin commented.

The collie stepped inside. "Greetin's, chief."

"How are you feeling Locke, "Douglas asked.

"Thats good I suppose.' Blue spoke.

"I suppose it is." Kaladin agreed.

"Ah'm well an' good, thank ye." Locke replied. "But Ah'd be more worried about Selkie. There's ah river otter here..."

"Chief Zono I saw him eariler.'' Douglas spoke.

"I have chores to go do; talk to you later?" Blue walked away.
