Kaladin looked at Locke and Kai cluelessly, and the collie merely shrugged in reply.

The two walked out toward them. One was a river otter the chiefton of the river otter clan. He smiled at them, "Hello are you here to see his highness as well? If you are heed my advice and don't waste your time he isn't here.''

Kaladin eyed the otter up and down, but it was Locke who spoke. "Not this moment. Why're ye asking?"

The chief stood straight and calm, "I was just saying and welcome to South Island traverelers. If you would like my clan knows the land better than other clan or knighthood and we would be happy to assist you in any way we can.''

Locke frowned. "Er, pass fer now, thank ye. Might take ye up later." He mummbled before brushing past the two, gesturing for Kaladin and Kai to follow.

Kai followed.
The otter gave her a small morcel which she gobbled down. The chief nodded slightly and kept walking.
He seems nice. Kai barked.

Kaladin slowly nodded in agreement, but Locke swished his tail. "He's prob'ly why Selkie hightailed jis now." He thought aloud.

As if on cue the otter sniffed the air and bared his fangs.
"You smell it to.'' The chamberman observed, "Is he of your clan?"
"No he is an accursed sea otter. Here I thought the sea clan would at least have the courtasy to stay where they moved to and not return here.'' The chiefton growled.

Locke grumbled like a sailor for a brief moment before detouring down a smaller hall. Kaladin shot a glance back and hurried after him, making sure Kai stayed close.

Kai followed close behind, So I was wrong.


Selkie was well hidden.
The chiefton put his hand on a stone and sensed where Selkie was, "Stick to the sea you traitor!"
